You’re current Karma count is what your Power Level is. Who’s the strongest DB character you can beat?

Mine is 17,136. So I guess Nappa and any stronger Freeza force soldiers.

How do you think Vegeta felt when he realized Trunks was his son...

    Posted: 19 Feb 2020 04:13 PM PST

...and then realized he watched his son turn into a Super Saiyan AND kill Frieza before him?

(OC) Evolution Goku Anyone? By Me

    Posted: 19 Feb 2020 04:55 PM PST

Vegeta and Bulma makes a lot of sense from a personality comparison..........

    Posted: 19 Feb 2020 08:27 PM PST

Despite some haters saying they are opposites, they actually share a lot in common......... Headstrong and ambitious enough to go to dangerous zones by their initiative often without thinking through. Both actually are quite clever people but are often blinded by their pride. Originally Bulma wanted a very masculine special someone who's handsome. Vegeta may not be conventionally handsome but he definitely has a very formal (and in the original Japanese VA with Horikawa aristocratic) air and not to mention he's very well-built. Someone like Vegeta probablly would not settle for anyone weak and would have preferred a fighter.

So they actually share so much in common. Only their opposite traits are surface interpretations-Vegeta is openly physically violent. Thing is Bulma was often quite rude and verbally abusive esp when she was younger so she's not the opposite of violent, she simply not physical about going violent but brutally does it with her tongue. Both would not let others push them around out of pride. Bulma esp when she was younger was often vain about her looks. Vegeta just manifests this in the male way, being a great fighter but in the end they both have big egos about their positive traits.

Was Goku destined to be evil if it wasn't for the accident?

    Posted: 19 Feb 2020 08:11 PM PST

Afterall Turtles was a dark side version of Goku. Would his aggressive urges as a baby turn him into a murderer considering how violent he was as soon as he was taken out of the mini-ship? Or is there hope for him even without the bump accident that caused amnesia?

Because the Androids are weaker in Future Trunks' timeline, would that Perfect Cell have been weaker if he was able to absorb future 17 & 18?

    Posted: 19 Feb 2020 01:26 PM PST

Title kinda says it all. Would Cell have been weaker if he absorbed the Androids from his timeline instead of the stronger ones? Basic reasoning would say yes, but maybe his perfect form is independant of the actual power of the Androids?

Moment when there could have been a true goku-vegeta rematch

    Posted: 19 Feb 2020 09:09 AM PST

Ok picture this. Piccolo kills dr gero. 17 and 18 dont get activated.

Goku takes his medicine. Gets back into shape.

At this point vegeta became a super sayan which was his only goal at that point to surpass goku.

Now goku and vegeta are both healthy, there is no menace to focus on and vegeta is still in his early "i m a jerk i want to beat goku cause i m the prince of salad".

Do you think there would be a proper rematch of goku vs vegeta? And if so, would they be equals or gokus it would be too broken ?

Why do they keep changing Gohan's hair?

    Posted: 19 Feb 2020 06:42 PM PST

Why do they keep changing Gohan's hair?

I'm really curious, why does toriyama keep changing Gohan's hair, first it was like Yamcha's in the saiyan saga, then it was bowl cut. (I kind of get the bowl cut, because many asians got it around that time) But in the beginning andriod saga Yamcha has the bowl cut, Gohan finally got his own hair in Future, but it was just Yamcha's hair without the back hair. And FINALLY Gohan gets his own hair in the buu saga, but in super and GT they made him cut his hair into post training Yamcha that gets sucked by Android 20. We all know he's not Yamcha's son because he can turn into a saiyan, so they shouldn't look alike at all. I feel like the worst thing that happened to Gohan isn't his decrease in power or his saiyaman personality (It's definately ptsd), but the fact that they cut his strands of front hair just to give him a "Transformation". What are your thoughts on this? I'm sorry if it's been posted a lot, but it's my first reddit post and I want to have a conversation about it.

Is it just me or is Kai's soundtrack extremely repetitive?

    Posted: 19 Feb 2020 09:37 PM PST

I don't remember the original score being this repetitive. It seems like a small selection of songs are reused over and over.

It seems cheaply done compared to everything else in Kai.

    I have a predicament...

    Posted: 19 Feb 2020 08:18 PM PST

I have read the dbs manga up until the start of the ToP, but I've been hearing that the anime ToP is much better. Would I still be fine story wise and consistency wise if I watched the anime ToP Instead of reading the manga ToP?

    Did Vegeta ever kill Frieza?

    Posted: 19 Feb 2020 06:46 PM PST

Goku killed him twice, once right in front of Vegeta and stealing his chance. Even his own son has killed Frieza and his father. But I can't recall Vegeta ever getting the chance to.

How come despite the terrible amount of fillers, Dragon Ball's entire manga was successfully adapted unlike its fellow rivals in Shonen battle?

    Posted: 19 Feb 2020 09:37 AM PST

Not only did the entire Dragon Ball manga adapt the whole story to TV screen during the manga's original air date, it even had a very bunch of terrible filler and recaps taht extended the total to over 300 episodes.

Series that were big hits at the same time often got their TV series canceled because they were losing popularity and this was in large part due to very terrible or badly paced filler as seen in the case of Saint Seiya and Ranma 1/2 or did not adapt the whole manga despite being in the same tier of popularity even matching DB's volume and TV ratings at the same time these series were running alongside (such as Yu Yu Hakusho and Hokuto No Ken) because the final chapters would be too controversial and often did not fit well as animated adaptations.

So I am curious how despite DB especially Z having so much terrible fillers that would have killed other popular shows like Saint Seiya (which often had superior fillers on a consistent basis to Z's fillers) lasted so long as not only to adapt the whole manga and even delayed the manga's ending with new sub story arcs in the final season or arcs?

All the Namek saga's padding is so awful I'm surprised DB lasted long enough to get past Frieza!
