Is DBS's best arc better than DBZ's worst arc?

    Posted: 20 Apr 2021 06:10 PM PDT

IMO the best DBS arc is the Black arc though ToP is also acceptable. The worst DBZ arc is widely agreed upon to be the Buu arc. However, I think the Buu arc is still better than the Black arc. Thoughts?

How old are Goku and Vegeta?

    Posted: 20 Apr 2021 10:31 PM PDT

At the the end of TOP, what are their ages??

At the end of Moro/Galactic Patrol Arc, they are probably 2 years older than they were at the end of TOP right

What exactly is the DB Super endgame?

    Posted: 20 Apr 2021 09:11 AM PDT

We began the series with the idea that SSJ was the pinnacle, then we got introduced to the variations up to 3(GT not counting). Now we're in a world where we got introduced to God forms and suddenly we've reached a point of God of Destruction and Angel "forms". I say in quotation since MUI is clearly a new form but Vegeta doesn't seem to have a form for God of Destruction..... yet.

What the hell is the endgame? I get the need to have higher stakes per enemy, but this is TOO exaggerated. Back in Z the endgame was an indestructible piece of Bubble Gum with galaxy, or more, destroying power. However, now we're at a point where universal destroying power is the "Standard" with every new enemy.

    It's too high.

We're at a total of 7 new forms(counting MUI and Vegetas perfect blue), regular God Super Saiyan is almost never used anymore and now they're pushing MUI as the new "plot armor standard". So where does it end?

Are Goku and Vegeta going to reach reality warping levels and take on Xeno? It feels like they went a little "too extra" on these power scales. What will the final enemy even look like? Dragon Ball was King Piccolo, known for massive skills and incredible power. Z was the nearly immortal Kid Buu. Their threat was based though. King Piccolo was world level while KB was universe level. What the hell shows up at the end of Super then now that those two pale in comparison to the current heroes? A freaking reality destroying level like fused Zamasu?

It feels like in an attempt to one-up every villain they've gone a bit off the reservation.

What will the finale of this look like after it's all said and done?

Uub & Goku: Will Super Effect Zs Ending For Us?

    Posted: 20 Apr 2021 08:34 PM PDT

When Goku left with Uub at the end of Dragonball Z all those years ago it felt like a very divisive conclusion. Goku just up and left his family so that he could go and train a relative nobody to uphold the peace. As Vegeta hinted at it seemed like this was more for Gokus thrill of the fight than anything else. There was more to wanting to train Uub. The fact that Goku seemed so casual about it all annoyed some. Bulmas words echoed some people's opinions in that Goku needed to grow up.

However here's the thing. Right now we in the middle of Dragonball Super. This takes place of course prior to the end of Z. Uub has been pointed out as someone that Goku should have his eye on. Dende knows who Uub is and his significance. Not only that but we have found out that Uub of course has God ki within him. He was used to aid in the battle against Moro. It changes things just a little when it comes to Uubs actual potential. When you watch/read Dragonball Super you are left wondering how Uub will fit into the narrative for the end of Z. How is it that he is seemingly going blow for blow with Goku? His power increases as he fights but Goku should have no trouble at all with him given the fact that he has UI.

Perhaps Goku is more aware of the god ki within Uub and the potential that he does have to increase his power to heights no other human could even fathom? Could Uub actually train so much that he could be on par with God ki? Something usually only obtainable for the likes of a deity or a Saiyan? That could be something that actually excites Goku. The fact that he can push this human being to levels never once thought possible. At the moment this is all hypothetically speaking. Uub is a reincarnated Kid Buu. We never did learn the full extent of Buus abilities but if similar to Fat Buus he can train. He can grow stronger. Uub might not be like Krillin for example who is strong but has a ceiling.

Would an explanation through Dragonball Super change people's outlooks on the end of Z? Give people a far better understanding of why Goku did what he did. In a way Gokus slowly transitioning into a similar position of Whis. Whis has his UI with being an angel. He loves to train those with the potential to be something greater. Goku can fit that same mould. He doesn't have to an angel himself. It fits into his characterisation. He's seemingly reached his peak so now his joy is getting the best out of others so that's why he chose to leave with Uub.

Some of you may still disagree with him randomly leaving his family and friends but the fighter within Goku is and has always been there. If he reaches a peak then he has to find his kicks somewhere. For him it would be training someone else to defend the world after he's gone. That's why Goku got teary eyed at the end. For him he loves the thrill. It doesn't excuse some things but I am hoping that Super will make us think "OK.. I actually get it" more when it comes to his decision.

    Alternative timelines

    Posted: 20 Apr 2021 06:20 PM PDT

So there's 7 timelines in total in the dragon ball universe. What is the original timeline? Is the goku from dragon ball super the same as the goku in dragon ball z and dragon ball. Or its just an alternative version of goku but the orginal goku that we started with is dead. I need these answers because I am so curious.

How would folks feel about a spinoff DBZ/DBS Series in a future timeline where Vegeta becomes GoD and Goku becomes his Angel?

    Posted: 20 Apr 2021 02:33 PM PDT

I feel like spinoffs might be a way to keep DBZ/DBS alive.
