What's the point of Grand Zeno in the cosmic balance? Posted: 15 May 2021 04:22 PM PDT So, we're told in Dragon Ball Super (I think by Gowasu) that there exists a cosmic balance between the Kais and the Destroyers, with the former creating and the latter, well, destroying. But Grand Zeno only destroys. He destroys Future Trunks's entire multiverse. He doesn't rebuild it; it never gets rebuilt. He destroys universes without caution during the Tournament of Power. He doesn't rebuild it; the Divine Dragon does. He didn't even build the Tournament of Power arena; High Priest/Grand Minister built that. ​ Is there a creative counterpart to him? Is it Zalama? Is it Tori-bot? Or does Grand Zeno just not have a point in the cosmic balance? Why the universe doesn't get destroyed during fights after BOG ? Posted: 15 May 2021 02:36 PM PDT In the BOG arc, it was stated that if beerus and goku kept punching, the universe would be destroyed due to the amount of power used. Then why doesn't it happen too during the golden freeza arc ? The black goku arc ? Or mostly the moro arc ? Isn't goku using more power in the following arcs ? Posted: 15 May 2021 07:26 AM PDT Goku may has done alot of foolish things like leaving all day to train but to me is all about the seeing the other perspectives. at the end of the day Gohan, goten and chichi still love goku for who he is, espiecially gohan, dude is a scholar with a beautiful wife and family, and he still love his dad regardless of how many times he left him to train or die. if your son is living the good life, and still see you as good dad, i say you are still a good dad. submitted by /u/TheGoldminor [link] [comments]

The many vehicles of Bulma Posted: 15 May 2021 09:29 PM PDT Just like with guns, Bulma has driven dozens of different vehicles along the years. Some of my favorites: In Jaco, 5-year-old Bulma pilots Jaco's Galactic Patrol spaceship, that she would eventually fix when a genius scientist couldn't. Still in Jaco, Bulma uses her Capsule Corp "Number 8" boat for the first time, that she would use also use starting in chapter 6 of the main series. Its main characteristics are its "Boaaa..t" sound effect and the fact that its engine is a R2D2 from Star Wars. The cover of the Weekly Shonen Jump with the first chapter of Dragon Ball shows Bulma driving a Gatling-armed jet-powered snowmobile. This seems to be marked with KAPSEL instead of CAPSULE, making one think that... maybe Bulma was once German? In the first chapter, 16-year-old Bulma drives a Renault 5 Turbo, the iconic rally car, that had just appeared on James Bond. It's even the rarer first version, that had a lighter body and crazy Bertone interior. Bulma's car is also ready for competition with a roll-cage. Also in the first chapter, Bulma rides an advanced Capsule Corp "Number 9" motorcycle, complete with a full enclosure and a digital instrument panel. The bike also appears on the chapter's title page... In the title page of chapter 5, Bulma is shown as the pilot of a legendary American WW2 fighter, the Lockheed P-38 Lightning. In chapter 7, Bulma tries to use Oolong as a scooter. Unfortunately, no matter what form he uses, his strength doesn't change, and he can't carry Bulma around and crumbles. In the title page of chapter 8, Bulma is using a Capsule Corp "Number 116" hot air baloon. Note that instead of a normal heating arrangement it just has a gigantic cigarette lighter (an easy reference for avid smoker Toriyama). In the chapter itself, Bulma and co. get a Fiat Abarth 695 from Yamcha. That's the sports version of the famous Fiat 500, recognizable by the scorpion logo on the front. On chapter 15, after Goku wrecked their Fiat with his Kamehameha, they gain a heavily armed flying car from Ox King. It's fast enough to leave Yamcha in the dust... also note the plane-like controls and the kanji for "long life" (or "congratulations") printed on it. On chapter 17's title page, Bulma drives a Honda Life Step Van, a tiny kei car van powered by an equally tiny 356 cc motorcycle engine. On chapter 69 (NICE), Bulma comes home with a Capsule Corp "Number 67" snail-like floating scooter. Still on chapter 69, we see Bulma's room, including several vehicles that are apparently being fixed right in her bedroom. There's a flying car (connected to what looks like a R2-D2), a mini-jetplane with foldable wings and what looks like a Honda CR250R. On chapter 329, Bulma uses a Capsule Corp "Number 339" cargo plane that looks quite funny and boxy. The Time Machine is of course the most iconic Bulma vehicle. My favorite appearance is that of the old Time Machine used by Cell to travel to the present timeline, from chapter 357. In DBS, Bulma uses what looks like a mix of old-time sportscar and fighter jet that is finally destroyed by Goku (at least it has airbags). submitted by /u/u4004 [link] [comments]

TIL I learned that Lemo was the holding the scouters for Frieza Posted: 15 May 2021 02:03 PM PDT Not something very special but I never noticed that Lemos first appearance in DBS: Broly is far earlier than his first words as he was holding the scouters for Frieza when Cold introduced the new Emperor of the Universe. I knew that Lemo was a veteran of the Cold Force but him being present on Planet Vegeta at the beginning of the movie is quite surprising. And I can't be the only one who missed that detail. I mean he wasn't given much focus and didn't stand out next to Zarbon Dodoria and the rest and I would never thought that this orange non-combatant would be a major character throughout the plot of the movie. submitted by /u/ottoman-disciple [link] [comments]
