    Hey everyone, this is my first post on this sub.

    So I grew up with DBZ, and I was in love with it I played a lot of the games on PS2, pretty much all of them I think. I always loved it more than any other anime and I continued to love it until recently. I always saw people online saying that dbz is overrated and badly written and its always the same stuff and things like that but for years I ignored that as much as I could. But recently I thought what if I only love this series so much because of nostalgia and not because I think it's actually good?

    Another thing is that a lot of people pointed out that hey its just a kids show. Now I always knew that it was for kids but I always thought that it was for everyone, not JUST to kids. And after trying to bypass my nostalgia I think they are right. Like once I tried to watch it like any other series... I don't know it feels like a good show, but not a legendary show like I used to consider it. And also I see a ton of people especially on Kanzenshuu which is the most hardcore DBZ site, and they all admit it, that "yeah it's a kids show not a "normal" show, and yeah there are way better shows out there but it's still fine". Like how can you love a series so much if you think of it this way?

    I don't know what to think about it anymore, I am conflicted. What do you guys think?

    I started re reading dragon ball digitally and it is coloured, but what's weird is that the kame hame ha is coloured as yellow but in the anime it is coloured as blue so what colour is its?

    GOKU BLACK SAGA

    Goku black was such an incredible villian. As he first appeared we got curious, why is goku doing this, is it real side (Kakarot) of goku or is it goten or what. We just got curious. It started too well and gave the dbz vibes. He could have been potentialy the best villian introduced in db franchise but the cheap writing ruined his character only after some episodes. When they revealed goku black is zamasu I was like wtf it doesnt even make sense. If that was the case why did zamasu not wish for to destroy every planet if not that why did he chose goku. He could have just said make me strongest in the whole universe. Besides if it would have been real goku the dark side of him, it would have been much better and actually could have made sense, remember in dbz goku got heart virus he survived in the main timeline but died in future trunks timeline. What if it was that goku. He got darker by living alone or that heart virus corrupted his mind. Imagine vegeta reaction of him killing bulma. Just like in the sayain saga but now the things are different. Imagine goku finding out that in the future he killed his own family. Alone he would have been better without the help of zamasu. And the ending brrr it sucked. All that hardwork the sayains did was gone to waste just by that tiny brat zen chan. It had some notable moments tho like Goku getting angry, Vegeta speech to black, trunks transforming etc. But I am just tryna say that GOKU BLACK WAS POTENTIALLY A GREAT VILLIAN. I guess they didn't made up that story because of the kids I guess. Dbs somehow is kid friendly in this era. They should really make some good villians. All come as great potential and are destroyed by stupid writing because of making them kids friendly.Tbh I really like dbs the fights are epic but they should increase their writing skills too. I really hope they do it
