I'm so glad to now own this collection of '86 Dragon Ball after watching the series' entirety last October; I wish the show got enough fame as Z, GT, or Super does but the show by itself is a joyful watch.

    Dragon Ball is very motivating

    Posted: 05 Oct 2021 03:41 PM PDT

How many of you guys think that dragon ball as a series is very motivating starting from goku training on 100 times gravity and then vegeta taking it to 400 times and really never giving up , always ascending. Ive seen a lot of ppl like dragon ball but they dont see it this way , maybe its me that find a lot of things motivating but this series is just insane , many ppl think its boring that in dbz every major fight has a new transformation that kinda represents that saga like ssj in frieza , ssj2 in cell and then iconic ssj3 tranaformation in the buu saga , I think that when they reach a new level of transformation is at that point they realize that they cant win if they dont sacrifice who what they are for what they will become and honestly this is inspiring , just breaking their own limits and reaching new powers they weren't even sure they had inside of them , especially gohan vs cell when he saw that he had no choice but go all out , also this kinda is a life lesson for some people who want to reach goals in their life and it motivates them to never give up even though the odds are stacked against you. This was my personal opinion on how I see the db series and it pushed me to workout and go for more in life.

Is everyone in DBZ supposed to be super muscular or does the art style just make them look that way?

    Posted: 05 Oct 2021 08:42 AM PDT

For example Goku is listed as 5'9 140lbs, with those stats and his martial arts background I would imagine he would have a similar build to someone like Bruce Lee but the anime makes him look like Arnold Schwarzenegger. Then in the Majin Buu arc Gohan is constantly being called "scrawny" and "skinny" by his classmates and by Mr Satan when he first sees him but he's still drawn to have huge muscles. In the world tournament they even draw the fighters in the kids division (the one's with no powers) with muscles and in some instances even Bulma is made to look way more muscular than an average woman even though there's no mention of her ever doing any type of training.
