Galactic Patrol Prisoner Arc Ending Theory + the Future of DB Super

    Posted: 22 Mar 2020 03:10 PM PDT

Here's my theory on the ending of the current manga arc as well as a potential future arc for the series.

The entire arc begins with Merus coming to earth to collect Majin Buu. I think it's only fitting that Merus will in some way contribute to the arc's conclusion. Merus' character is all about action vs inaction. Unlike other angels he has a strong desire to do good and to contribute to the events of the universe, however his being an angel forces him to be impartial and to obey strict natural laws. I believe the arc will end with Merus defying the Grand Priest, and deciding that regardless of the personal cost, he must do what is right and take a stand against Moro.

Goku and Vegeta will defeat Moro with help from Merus. Having defied the divine law of the angels, Merus will be destroyed by the Grand Priest. This will create a divide between Goku (Merus' friend and student) and co and the Gods, and could potentially plant the seeds for an eventual final arc of Dragon Ball Super.

A recurring theme throughout all of Super has been man vs god. Mortals vs. immortals (ex. Battle of Gods, Zamasu arc, and the entire Tournament of Power). The later parts of the series have introduced mortal characters that are consistently referred to as being on par with the gods (i.e Jiren, Broly and Ultra Instinct). I think the final arc of the show will take this a step farther, and pit a team of god like mortals (Goku, Vegeta, Broly, Jiren and possibly Hit(?)) against the gods themselves - whose general disregard for life has been at the root of most of the series' conflicts. And all of it will begin with Merus' sacrifice to help Earth defeat Moro.

Regardless, this arc has been pretty awesome for the most part. Lmk your thoughts!

    [OC] Death of a Champion

Why does no one talk about the original Dragon Ball?

    Posted: 22 Mar 2020 09:50 AM PDT

I get that DBZ and super had bigger better fights and all but the original was cool to so why does it not get as much credit or talk??

How would you make minor characters like Tien, Yamcha, or Piccolo more integral to the plot? Make them stronger? Make them turn heel? Or should they always stay in the background?

Personally I feel that they aren't really being used to their potential which is a shame since they have interesting backstories

Does Boro care about his henchment or not?

    Posted: 22 Mar 2020 04:59 PM PDT

In the previous chapter he cared about the injured and told others to take them to safety. In this one he doesn't care one bit about the guy he was boosting in power.

    Maybe another plot hole?
