Gowasu is a failure of a teacher

    Posted: 14 Sep 2020 07:22 PM PDT

Rewatching Goku Black arc and Gowasu probably is one of the dumbest people in the series, or at the very least, biggest failures. While this is in no way saying "Zamasu was right" Gowasu failed to correct Zamasu's beliefs. Zamasu believed mortal life was evil and corrupt, and offered nothing beneficial to the universe(s). Instead of confronting, and challenging these believes, Gowasu weakly argued that "Destruction, is not the role of a kai. We are to observe". Not only does this not help Zamasu in any way, this skirts around the issue in it's entirety. Gowasu doesn't challenge these concerns with counter evidence that shows that Zamasu is wrong, but just basically tells him "while you aren't wrong, we aren't supposed to destroy them", which just makes Zamasu think that the kais are sinnful of sloth.

I'm sure if Gowasu actually understood where Zamsu was coming from, the entire arc wouldn't have happened, or rather, would have ended differently with our universe Zamasu still alive, due to his concerns being successfully dealt with by Gowasu.

Watching "Broly" for the umpteenth time, only now noticing that Lemo lies to Cheelai when he says he never met Frieza, he's the guy who hands him the scouters in the 41 years ago flashback

    Yajirobe full potential, melee fighter.

    Posted: 14 Sep 2020 08:53 PM PDT

Do you think yajirobe would have stayed a bit more relevant to the DBZ series if he learned to use and control his ki as well as the other characters? Let's say he doesn't use ki blasts as much and remains a hand to hand combat fighter. He masters flight. What do you think?

When do you guys think Vegeta changed to be a better person?

    Posted: 14 Sep 2020 08:34 PM PDT

I honestly think it ties up to his deaths. Think about it before he died on Namek he was ruthless, still dark. But after he changed, he was still gritty but most of it was a facade he kept up. Then he went Majin and sacrificed himself. After he resurrected he admitted goku was a better fighter and accepted it

In DBS it seems it evolved their bond more with their constant training together and you can see how he's grown to be a better person

What's your guys's opinions on when and why he changed?

The Dragon Ball Super manga retroactively explains how Cell obtained "Super Perfect Cell"

    Posted: 14 Sep 2020 01:13 PM PDT

So we all know that Cell went from Semi-Perfect Cell to achieving Super Perfection from self-destructing and regenerating, but that had to be one hell of a zenkai boost to achieve SSJ2 just like that. But because of the Super manga we now know that in order to use Instant Transmission, one must be able to utilize "Spirit Control." Based solely off of Vegeta's growth through the ability, we have a pretty good concept of just how Cell could achieve such growth from a simple zenkai boost. Goku sacrificing himself to save earth allowed Cell to learn Spirit Control instantly by merging with Goku's cells post explosion. Utilizing his near death zenkai boost and his new advanced ki manipulation, he was able to obtain SSJ2 without the training prerequisite that Gohan had to go through. What do you guys think about the implications that Cell was utilizing Spirit Control? I haven't seen any threads and wanted to share my thoughts.

Why doesn't Hironobu Kageyama do DBZ songs anymore?

    Posted: 14 Sep 2020 10:33 AM PDT

Kageyama sang alot of the songs for DBZ, the openings and even some insert songs, you got classics like Chala Head Chala and Hikari no Willpower. For the DBZ games he would usually do a song per major release game, Final Bout, the Budokai games, the Tenkaichi/Raging Blast games. This guy's voice was synonymous with Dragon Ball

Fast forward abit, Dragon Ball Kai, Super, Battle of Gods, Resurrection F, Broly. He did no music for any of these, which are considered the resurgence for DBZ. And of course no new games either.

So does anyone know what happened with this guy? his band JAM Project is one of the most celebrated anime bands of all time, but he hasn't done Dragon Ball for years, something must have happened
