Posted: 09 Dec 2020 04:58 PM PST I've seen a lot of mixed reception surrounding this arc, but for me personally it was pretty good overall. There were a couple missteps here and there, like with how UI Omen was treated etc., but I would say it might be the one of, if not the best arc thus far. However the one major thing holding it back is ironically Moro himself. To be honest, he kind of sucks? His introduction was amazing and chilling and we were given the impression that Moro would be totally different from anything we've seen thus far, and he definitely was at first. But over time his character just devolved into a worse version of Perfect Cell. Piccolo's regeneration? Check. Abilities stolen from all other fighters? Check. Wants to keep absorbing stuff? Check. Devolves into a monstrosity that will end up destroying the planet? Check. Even his magic, which was his main selling point, is essentially just the same energy absorption gimmick we've already seen from Android 19 and 20. Sure he can do some cool stuff with manipulating elements, but none of that is really expanded upon. This arc already heavily relies on and recycles many story elements from all the previous arcs, but I felt like this one is especially poorly done. On the upside, his design is pretty cool, especially after he absorbed 73, but that's pretty much all he has going for him. What do you guys think? [link] [comments] | ||

| Posted: 09 Dec 2020 09:21 AM PST You know, I feel like I see a lot of people want Bulla to end up as another generic waste of potential half saiyan fighter who has a lot of power when they are young, but end up becoming a major dissapointment as the series progresses. Im getting sick of this trend, I like Goten and Trunks, but I feel super is being very lackluster with their development and keep using the "their just kids excuse" to keep them out of every major battle. It's been a considerable amount of time since the end of buu saga and Goku and Vegeta are actually selfish as fuck and have been barely paying attention to Goten and Trunks as fighters. Goku might have the excuse of Chi Chi, but Vegeta has been slacking with his involvement in getting Trunks stronger. Goten and Trunks should certainly should be at buu saga ssj2/Ssj3 levels by now individually with how big the power creep is now. Even though Gohan has been fighting life threatening battles and has undergone some severe trauma ever since the age of 4, Trunks and Gotens inexperience is always used as an excuse, how are they going to gain experience if they are never involved in anything? They can't even watch fights and learn visually most of the time. Like we give Gohan a lot of crap, but he really did have a really shitty childhood up till the end of cell saga, like I wouldn't be to stoked on fighting if I got beat within an inch of my life every fight. Even though im not sure how super will handle Pan, or if they will even adapt that far into the future, I want them to take a completely different route with Bulla. I want Bulla to be the next Inventor prodigy and take over Bulma's role at capsule corp. I feel Dragonball has a lot of room to expand upon in the technological department as we see that Bulma can create inventions such as the time machine which go beyond even a deities understanding of time and space. Dr Gero took average barebone humans whose power levels average out at ten and put them at level far above frieza who was the most tyrannical force in the galaxy. On top of that he just estimated how strong goku would get from a glimpse of fight where he was 100x weaker. He tweaked his androids to account for Goku's logic defying boost in power that he's shown throughout the series. On top of that the changes the performed on the android wasnt a stagnant change to their physiology, it gave them limitless potential to grow even stronger as showcased by DB super 17's boost in power. I want Bulla to be gifted with insane amounts of intellect, and I want her intellect to not be only used for the earth, but be able to create technology that actually betters all of universe 7. The technology Bulla will bring to the table not only enriches society for the earth, but is able cultivate rich lifeforms on other planets and go towards raising the mortal level for universe 7. This way not only is universe 7 the underdog in terms of power, Bulla will bring this universe to its peak potential, possibly creating the most advanced societies and demanding respect from the other universes. Bulla will be able to expand the reaches of capsule corp throughout the universe and will rebrand it as universe/galaxy corp. She also might be able to have a closer relationship with Beerus, she might be his soft spot and keep him from mindlessly destroying worlds and be a better GoD, thus being able to better improve the universe. This will also involve the earth citizens not being so in the dark about the vast expanses of the universe. (Its weird cause the earthlings know about aliens and stuff, but they've never gone out and actually explored other worlds and interacted with other societies outside of goku and the main cast). It would be interesting if Bulla is gifted with insane levels intellect, but an average mortal body (Maybe they can tie her unnatural birth as a reason for her lack of unbridled saiyan potential so it isnt completely random). Bulla would grow up envying her brother, father, and pan, but would never be able to achieve the strength she wants to protect her family and universe. She will get tired of being branded the family weakling and get sick of the coddling and over protection from Vegeta and Trunks. So what im going for is like a dragonball take on Iron man. Iron man's suits get pretty ridiculously op in terms of power. It would be insane if Bulla could create technology that rivals the power of gods, this tech could also possibly be stolen or replicated and create an insanely powerful antagonist mixing powerful technology with their own ridiculous energy. Or Bulla could physically alter her own body and go the route of the androids, but improve upon herself at a faster rate. To wrap things up, she doesn't even have to be a fighter at all, but I think it would be super interesting to set Bulla up as Bulma's successor and not only just be as good as Bulma, but far smarter and a force to be reckoned with. Especially that point with the mortal levels, I hope they didnt bring up that point for no reason and they either have characters try to cultivate societies that raises universe 7's level, or give us glimpses into the extravagent societies of the 4 excluded universes. How do y'all think Bulla should be handled? Will she be thrown to the side and make no interesting development? Will she actually get fleshed out and have her own screentime? Disclaimer: I haven't read or been keeping up with the super manga, so I hope Trunks and Goten have gotten some development in the 2 years since super ended. I doubt it though. [link] [comments] | ||

| Posted: 09 Dec 2020 01:13 PM PST i wouldn't call myself a big fan of dragon ball as i've only really watched the anime from dragonball to DBZ and a few of the movies but the android saga interested me, more specifically the timeline they all died leaving gohan and trunks so i'm curious if there is any more stuff exploring Future Gohan and the gap between the androids killing everyone and his death since the only thing i know of is the movie about trunks which is right at the end of those events also a side question that i don't know if it's answered somewhere but why doesn't anyone tell future trunks where to find the nameks and there dragonballs?
