Could there be a super Saiyan god super Saiyan 2 or three transformation

    Posted: 17 Mar 2021 04:16 PM PDT

So as most people who have watched super know after super Saiyan god there's super Saiyan god super Saiyan which made me think if there's that why not with enough Training they can't obtain super Saiyan god super Saiyan 2 or 3 and I also thought what on earth would that look like

[Question] Is VIZBIG still producing mangas? If so, what are the chances of them producing a VIZBIG edition for DB Super?

    Posted: 17 Mar 2021 11:13 AM PDT

I've been wanting to purchase the mangas for Super, but the quality and texture of the paper just feels off to me, especially since I'm so used to the VIZBIG editions of DB and DBZ. Additionally, seeing the manga in bigger pages would be better for my eyes.

Soo, yeah. Any hopes for a VIZBIG release of Super?

Does anybody know why some chapters have the clear bright look, and some a very dark look in the manga? Most of them are in the bright style wat I like the most, but some of them aren't

Major deaths in the series are not devaluated by the use of reviving characters.

    Posted: 17 Mar 2021 12:03 AM PDT

    It... really doesn't.

People who say otherwise are talking from a third perdón standpoint on the series.

    Let me explain myself:

    SPOILERS:

When Vegeta suicides against Buu, people like to point out that just because Vegeta revived, his sacrifice is invalidated, this is basically being heavily materialistic.

If we look at the situation from an empathic way, like thinking about what Vegeta (the sacrificed character) was thinking at the moment, then the things go entirely different. Mainly because the characters are not aware about the existence of.... a writer(?) which can make narrative changes at will, at least in dbz that's how it is.

Basically life is still not a joke even with the possibility of revival in dbz, because charters care about their lifes, why? Probably because they don't just spawn back, they have to defeat the enemy first, then find the dragon Balls and then make a wish. Buu saga's revival was a special case with all that afterlife deal and whatnot, but still kinda cool if you ask me.

This is pretty obvious, but I would like to point this out because characters in dbz don't expect themselves to get revived... specially when we have things like "afterlife", "heaven" and "hell" going on in dbz. I would argue that major revivals in dbz are used to expand the narrative suspense of the series. Good examples of this is when Goku trained while dead with Kaiosama, basically thanks to Goku dying, he had a chance to get special training. BUT it doesn't end there, there was another concern on how much time Goku would take to come back (after getting revived) to defeat the Saiyans.

Buu Saga, despite being kinda lackluster in storytelling, has a good example with Goku only having 24 hours to take care of everything, then Vegeta has to come to change Goku's plans.

Basically, if you look at things from an "in world" perspective instead of a "3rd person viewer" perspective, you will realize that 90% of revivals in dbz do not devaluate the sacrifices of said characters".

Dragon Ball tries to be inmersive to an extent (and accomplishes it) just to give big meaning to these emotional/plot-heavy moments. Because DBZ (at least for me) it's about being in the series rather than watching the series from an "outsider" perspective. Basically being in the battle within the world, or you could use the term "identify" with the series.

Imagine watching the series on air... you really don't expect Goku to get revived after Cell, or Vegeta to get revived after Majin Buu.

Edit: If you're an atheist, it's going to be possibly harder to relate to deaths on dbz... since in dbz, while dead, you can still communicate and interact in an indirect way with people who are alive one way or another depending if you are in hell or heaven. So basically death in dbz isn't even the actual end to begin with, which is what some people seem to miss completely when arguing about how reviving characters in dbz devaluates the narrative. So either death was doomed from the start of dbz, or not.

In dbz, death isn't just like in irl, probably because in dbz, there is a confirmed afterlife in which people "exist" in. As we have seen Goku "living" a "life" in Kai's planet. So revivals can't be the cause of this if we take this necessary fact in count.
