    The great saiyaman

Maybe it's been obvious to you all but upon rewatching Z….I just realized that the cheesiness of his moves, voice and intro dance are probably all a result of ptsd from the Ginyu force lol

Would Chi Chi be up for training a kid that wasn't hers?

    Posted: 01 Dec 2021 04:25 AM PST

Let's say Bulma found an abandoned five-year-old part-Saiyan (not Gohan) on the streets and brought him home for the trip to Namek, would Chi Chi give the kid some basic training? Or would it be up to Krillin and Gohan in transit?

Should Gohan have gotten his Ultimate Form/Potential Unleashed later?

    Posted: 30 Nov 2021 07:18 PM PST

So I was thinking back to a line Gohan had in the Super manga, which was "I chose to keep evolving as a human, not a Saiyan. I'm not relying on my Saiyan blood anymore." It's a really cool line, but the thing is, it's not nearly as impactful as it could have been. This is was during the Tournament of Power, way after he first got Potential Unleashed. The line feels like it should've been something he said after achieving said form, truly establishing that he's as much of an Earthling as he is a Saiyan. In the ToP it's kinda just a cool line thrown in but with not a lot substance in the end. So it had me wondering, could the timing of Gohan's Potential Unleashed be better?

The Buu saga already had Ssj3 and Fusion, so really another form wasn't really that necessary. And I'm sure that there could've been another way to incorporate Gohan's return without his huge power boost. Maybe Goku teaches Gohan Super Saiyan 3 during that time period, or he just masters Super Saiyan 2. Gohan wouldn't have to be as op as he was in the Super Buu fight either, maybe just on par or slightly above Ssj3 Gotenks, still giving a good fight regardless. That way we can save Potential Unleashed for a more impactful moment for Gohan. Plus we can have some foreshadowing from Elder Kai when he first offers to unlock his potential, making the later appearance of the form all the more hype and worth the wait.

As for when Gohan does get Potential Unleashed, I'm not really sure to be honest lol. It would change the story of any arc by a lot, considering Gohan would become increasingly more relevant in said arc. Maybe it could still be in the Tournament of Power, but in the background of earlier arcs they can have scenes leading to Gohan getting the transformation. Maybe he's shown training alone, struggling to reach a new level of Super Saiyan. Perhaps he's reached a limit to how strong he can get, and can't get through it because he hasn't fought in a long time and only recently started training again. Or maybe since he doesn't have God Ki, he's reached the limit to how far a Saiyan can go (which can reinforce his ideology about evolving as a human rather than a Saiyan). Then later before the ToP, Elder Kai makes another claim on how much dormant power Gohan has, and how he can bring it out through the ritual. Gohan finally takes up on his offer, curious as to how much power he has locked up inside him. Thus Gohan has his Potential Unleashed unlocked for the Tournament of Power.

What do you guys think? To be honest I'm kinda just throwing things out there because that one line in the manga really caught my attention. I feel like that line alone implies just how much of an impact Potential Unleashed could've had storywise. It's a cool form with an interesting concept, but the way Gohan achieved it and how he ended up in the Buu saga kinda undermined it. If it had some build up to it and really add substance to Gohan's character, like the growing as an Earthling bit, it could've been a much better form and be even more of a fan favorite. Of course that's just my take, I'd love to hear what you guys think

    Sealas as villain

He must be most underated villain in dbz. Sealas has great backstory & doesn't get enough love.

    Question about Android 17

    Posted: 30 Nov 2021 10:43 PM PST

Goku has never meet Android 17 in DBZ. If this actually happened, when do you think would have been the best time for them to first meet?
