Do you think GT gets criticized too harshly? Posted: 10 Jan 2022 12:49 AM PST In comparison to DBS or just outright? Even before DBS i think it did. I understand why. However i always viewed GT as an large epilogue to DBZ. It was a throwback to Dragon Ball too, hence the heavy focus on Goku. It never bothered me much that he became a kid for this reason. DBZ was more or less the end, and GT was the last goodbye epilogue to the story. Everything from the music, the art style and story choices made it feel like the entire thing was a last goodbye story, and a last chance to view it all, and then the ending finally gave some epic closure and it was over. I really liked it overall and perhaps it was just because i viewed it through this lens. I even feel like the color palette gave it a "dimming the lights" sort of feel as the entire 64 episodes were the story was ending epilogue. Now if i viewed it as a continuation then it objectively failed in many areas including the focus on Goku and him turning into a child. But i dont think it should or was even meant to be viewed as DBZ part 2. submitted by /u/cayennepepper [link] [comments]

4 things id like to see in the upcoming Dragonball series. Posted: 10 Jan 2022 12:30 AM PST i want to see piccilo get a love intrest. He deserves it. Maybe there is a universe where all the namekians are female appearing. I know its a reach, but i would like to see piccilo being conflicted about feelings he never felt before. An ova of Yamcha playing baseball against other strong aliens in a universal tournament. God this would be such a great movie. Imagine all the Z fighters cheering yamcha on as he hits the main homerun. Epic. if frieza is back. Bring back the ginyu force as good guys. Would they be super weak now. Of course. Old Broly VS New Broly. Posted: 10 Jan 2022 01:13 AM PST Not in terms of strength and power. But pure intimidation and terror. I'm going to be honest. Old Broly sent absolute chills down my spine.
