I was in elementary school when DBZ was on Toonami at the end of the Frieza saga. For almost every big moment in the remainder of the series there were spoilers being spread around the playground during recess that included the following:
Quite impressive that these spoilers were spread when the internet was in its infancy in 2000 and it really ruined a lot of surprises for me that I wish hadn't. What were some of those moments like for those watching without spoilers? The biggest surprise for me probably would have been about Trunks being from the future. I probably would have assumed he was a Super Saiyan that came from another planet to fight Goku. [link] [comments] | ||
| Posted: 25 Dec 2021 11:30 PM PST I kinda like it too be honest. I know a lot think its wierd cuz it looks like a video game but I've wanted dragonball to start testing out 3d for a while. I was thinking it would look more Fighterz style but this is still pretty cool. I know it would never happen but I want them to make a movie in jump force 2018 style, with the realism turned to the max. I dont want realistic faces or anything like that I still want the traditional character design just with realistic lighting, effects, cloth and hair simulation, etc. etc. Curious if anybody else would want them to experiment with this style? Also what would you think about them using the superhero style more often? [link] [comments] | ||

| What Dragon ball super movie ideas do you guys have? Posted: 25 Dec 2021 08:42 PM PST Just my own opinion. All previous sagas pulled on your emotions but it feels like now comedy and ass pulls of villains and power ups is cramed down your throat. The ultra instinct reveal was good, not a fan of the theme for it though tbh. Goku and vegeta trained so hard and now any run of the mill charecter is on their level. I dont like the current mangakas way of moving things tbh there could of been so many better ways. Current arc feels so wierd with the wish potential lol.. We all grew up watching this in the 90s and to me atleast its lacking the seriousness and heavy emotions like when goku first went ssj or when Goran went ssj2. That being said if If I could decide next arc I would introduce a new universe the story being that the entire universe was in conflict due to the god of destruction being to rampant and evil. I would bring cooler into it as an anti hero not really caring about anything but strength and revenge after his people were killed by the god, still a smart ass but during a fight with that God of destruction he was left for dead but was found by saying one resembling trunks or goten whom is later killed by the god of destruction loyal followers (a little homage to the heros meeting) I would also add cumber but his charecter was not always evil/crazy maybe he had a family that perished when those loyal to the god of destruction destroyed his planet which was seen as an outpost for people rebelling against the god, He loses his mind and unlocks his power and goes to fight the God, killing a few of his strongest loyal fighters but he is easily defeated and is left to die. after facing him yet a bit of that gods destruction power lingers in cumber who learns to harness it Eventually he is found by a kai whom helps him recover then tells him about the dragon balls. Eventually they meet cooler while searching and the both of them fight in a deadlock over it, eventually comming to agreement after they beat each other to a near pulp each with their own heavy reasons for a wish. Together they find the remaining dragon balls except for one that the god of destruction keeps after finding out they were looking for them. They go to meet and fight him only to engage in a final battle where the God destroys the dragon ball in front of them, causing them to both go crazy and fight togethere but to be defeated. The kai then appears and the god of destruction is annoyed he had been helping them.the kai gives cooler and cumber the potara earrings allowing them to fuse. After doing so they become powerful enough to fight him to a standstill and with their anger and rage feeling them they are about to defeat the god of destruction, when the universe suddenly evaporates and is destroyed showing a hand outside it raised which belongs to zeno and the grand priest beside him who is lecturing an angel that he says is to be isolated to train for not handeling this mess properly who is discovered to be that universes angel. | Posted: 25 Dec 2021 08:23 PM PST So a lot of people have brought up already that this is probably a Gohan movie. The trailer seems to suggest that too, but I was thinking about the reason for that This movie probably started production sometime around when Broly was released. What was also happening at that time? Moro arc was going on in the manga, and in that same time, it also finished, and we began Granola arc. In other words, Moro and Granola were probably written out AFTER the story for Super Hero was written. I think, chances are, Toriyama figured if the manga was going to keep going (unlike the anime), he would have to keep Goku/Vegeta in the background so the manga wasn't contradicted, so their roles in the movie will be small This is probably also why Broly and maybe Frieza haven't appeared outside of cameos in the manga. We don't know about Frieza, but we know Broly is going to be training on Beerus's planet with Goku in the movie (the screenshot if you missed it https://sportshub.cbsistatic.com/i/2021/10/07/36ec8271-d84a-4693-a053-7ea16d0418ed/dragon-ball.jpg?auto=webp&width=896&height=505&crop=1.774:1,smart) Toriyama had plans for at least Broly in the movie, so he couldn't have him appearing in the manga I think Goku and Vegeta (and Broly) are probably going to spend most, if not all, of the movie behind the scenes, and the majority of the conflict will be Gohan and Piccolo fighting the new villains on Earth. I don't think we'll be seeing any UI/UE action in the movie I also think this opens up a very interesting topic of debate for the future of Dragon Ball after this movie. Will the manga finish Granola in April? If so, will it tease the next arc, which would be after Super Hero? OR - maybe will it go on break too? I would love it if it meant the anime could come back later too, but I doubt it at this point, and that's another topic anyways I think whatever we get after Super Hero, it's gonna bring a lot of things together. I think whatever we get after this, it's going to finally start bringing things together (and please PLEASE let us go back to other universes and fighting people there!) I think, with Toriyama's movie writing and his and Toyotaro's manga writing finally caught up, we'll start seeing characters like Merus and Granola (if he lives) and Broly and UE Vegeta, and whatever new things we get from Super Hero, finally coming together in whatever comes next Or maybe that's just wishful thinking. What would he do to the androids after cells defeat (if they somehow defeat him) would he blame gohans death on them and kill them what happens? [link] [comments] |
