    Goku's win/loss is massively overblown

    Goku gets a lot of hate from the vocal minority due to always "stealing Vegeta/Piccolo/Whoever's victories", always "saving the day" and always "winning"

    This is peddled by people who haven't watched the series in full or have terrible memories. Goku's win loss is god awful against major villains/antagonist and isn't that impressive overall. His tournament W/L is garbage and is actually saved by Vegeta just as much as he saves Vegeta in return.

    Here's his complete win/loss (i'm doing this from memory, please call out anything I've missed/forgotten) - I'll also call out what I'd consider a victory vs a major opponent along with Tournament placings and Vegeta saves/savings.

    I'm not including a Gogeta/Vegito fight as a Goku one.

    Final thoughts, Goku's win rate is massively inflated by defeating trash in the Red Ribbon Saga and Budokai's, literally normal humans. Goku's win rate against major antagonist is abysmal.

    Tournament of power was a bitch, I've arbitrarily excluded any fight that didn't end in a knockout or wasn't with Jiren as there were just way too many little scuffles to count.

    I've kept some sparring matches but mostly excluded any that were when Goku was doing a training montage with Gohan, Piccolo, Vegeta, Whis, Popo etc. These didn't seem to have the same levity as the ones I included. Feel free to disagree.

    I think the overall thought that Goku always wins and saves the day comes from the DBZ Movies and GT where this very much does happen. I think Goku gets the win in almost every single Z movie except 2 Bojack, Broly 2 and Bio-broly? And even then, he's still saving Gohan in 2 of those from beyond the grave. GT is just as bad where I don't think he suffers a loss to someone he doesn't come back and defeat.

    I just finished these episodes today and I think tien holding off cell was one of the best moments in dbz. It was brave, selfless, and showed that the rest of the z fighters could definitely help out. I wouldn't say this fight is under rated but I just wanted to share how cool I think it is now that I've watched it again.

    Zenkai Boosts: Why Didn't They Come Up More?

    OK...So, you know that trick Vegeta pulled back in the Namek saga, where he had Krillin almost kill him, and then got healed back up by Dende, exploiting the Zenkai Boost? ...Why didn't they pull that more often? Vegeta became hundreds of times stronger after just three such recoveries. In theory, any Saiyan with the combo of "a friend willing to beat the shit out of you" and "access to a reliable healing source (IE healing pod, Senzu beans, Dende)" could just pull that trick over and over and basically be a god within a week, no? But outside of Cell, no one really seemed to realize the full potential here.

    These days, I was thinking when Majin Boo destroyed the entire Earth, and everybody died, except for Goku, Vegeta and the guys Goku gets. Then, they wished for everyone to revive, except the really bad guys.

    And now, Super was happening, and Arale was fine on that Dr. Slump special episode. But wait, she is an android, right? So, if androids (like 16) isn't live beings like 17 and 18, so that Arale that appeared on that episode wasn't the same Arale that apperared on the Dr. Slump and original Dragon Ball. Dr. Sembei must have built another Arale.
