Just realized most of the cast are about 30 to 40 now. Posted: 28 Jun 2020 06:41 PM PDT I know saiyans age slower but the non saiyan characters are all older than Goku making them at least early 40s. Goku first appeared in DB at 12 and everyone who would become his friends were a few years older than him(except Krillin who was 13) Goku at most should still look like he's in his 20s since he was dead for 7 years and you dont age in Other World . Its really odd seeing all the old/same designs for the characters, feel like a few of them should have their design tweaked or something because when i see the cast I still think they're close to being teenagers then I realize most of them have kids or something or are married. Also shouldn't Vegeta have shown aging by now? He's much older than his father and nappa by now and they had already shown their body/changing. [link] [comments]

The Math: Namek's last 5 minutes Posted: 28 Jun 2020 07:06 PM PDT Okay, so just how slow is the infamous last 5 minutes of Namek in Dragon Ball Z? Let's compare it to another even we know the amount of time for: Super's Tournament of Power The Tournament of Power was, in universe (or in this case, multiverse), 100 takks, which equals about 48 minutes The ToP starts on Episode 97 of Dragon Ball Super and lasts about 35 episodes. This means each episode covered ~1.37 minutes of the tournament on average Meanwhile, Namek going boom takes 5 minutes in universe, and covers about 10 Z episodes (5 Kai episodes) In terms of minutes per episode, Namek blowing up is slower than the ToP in both Z (~.5 minutes per episode due to fillered-up fighting and unrelated filler) and Kai (~1 minute per episode) The meme lives on. Did Shin not know instantaneous movement in Z? Posted: 28 Jun 2020 05:38 PM PDT It's something he can do on Super but in Z he seemed to rely on Kibito to do it for him. Did he know it and never use it, or did he not know it? Perhaps he learned it as a result of being fused with Kibito, or maybe Old Kai realised he couldn't hand it wasn't another thing he had to teach the youngster. Would he have been stranded on Earth if not for Kibito being revived? [link] [comments]
Gohan is one of the best child characters in fiction Posted: 28 Jun 2020 02:14 PM PDT Growing up Gohan always was such a relatable character. Part of what made Gohan different from alot of kid characters was he was thrown into the life he lived and experienced things children shouldn't have to go through but he always toughed it out at the end of the day he was always dependable and was there for peopel. Goten and Trunks are more typical kid characters with powers. They don't take anything seriously and never go through anything that challenge them. Gohan had to overcome letting people down as an insecurity. Gohan always had to step in Goku's shoes in his absence but Gohan never complained he never resented anyone for losing out on his childhood. Gohan at times is my favorite Dragonball character. How super should [have] ended. Posted: 28 Jun 2020 10:11 PM PDT I dont know if there will be new episodes of DB super, but if episode 131 was the end then they should have had a better ending. Like have Goku and Beerus face off against each other one more time and beerus says something like "hmmph all the transformations you've gone through since we first met" as it shows ssg ssgss and UI "you still dont have what it takes to beat me" and Goku says "hmmph we'll see about that" and it pans out to show them on opposite sides of your tv, and as they lunge at each other with goku in ssgss it freeze frames as they are about to meet. Anyone else think Gohan should've achieved SS3 or a new form for the T.O.P Posted: 28 Jun 2020 09:29 PM PDT Gohan should have gotten ba new form for the tournament of power. He could've gotten super Saiyan 3 or Super Saiyan god or something. I liked Super and all but Goku and Vegeta only got the special Saiyan form treatment and Gohan didn't get any. Sorry just wanted to speak my opinion, I'm kinda a Gohan fan [link] [comments]

Which DBZ arcs are better in the manga? Posted: 28 Jun 2020 09:34 AM PDT After finishing the DB manga i decided to start watching DBZ but I'm worried about the overall pacing of the show. Which arcs do you think I'm better off reading than watching? [link] [comments]
Better filler episode, DBZ 125 (the driving episode) or DBS 070 (the U6/U7 baseball game episode)? Posted: 28 Jun 2020 06:58 PM PDT I think these two episodes are my favorites among all of the franchise when it comes to filler. For those of you who also like these two episodes, which one ends up being your favorite? I tend to flip-flop between the two. Both are great. [link] [comments]

why does friza say goku cant breath in space? Posted: 28 Jun 2020 06:02 PM PDT why does friza say goku cant breath in space when vageta, nappa and all the saiyans friza killed outside of planet vageta could? [link] [comments]
Posted: 28 Jun 2020 05:47 PM PDT I know variations of this question have been asked before, but I've seen conflicting answers for it. I know his name comes from a Japanese phrase meaning, "to be/to exist". And that adapting Dragon Ball names to English is very difficult due to the fact that most of them are puns on existing words. With a name like "Beerus/Beers", it's written in Romanji as "Birusu". And when we bring that name over to English we drop the "u" at the end because it's unnecessary in English. And some believe the same should be done for "Zamasu", which leaves us with "Zamas". But, his name comes from an archaic Japanese phrase, so some believe the "u" should be left to preserve the name origin. I realize neither are technically "wrong" for lack of a better word, I'd just like to know what's the most accurate way to say the name in English. Same question for "Gowasu/Gowas". Thanks in advance! [link] [comments] |
