Are Vegito and Gogeta the same person?

    Posted: 18 Jun 2020 07:44 PM PDT

For a long time fans considered Vegito to be "Mostly Vegeta" and Gogeta to be "Mostly Goku" but in truth we saw very, very little of Gogeta. Not enough to make a real distinction between the two.

Now, we actually have a canonical portrayal of Gogeta. When we see Gogeta, his behavior is identical to Vegito. Stoic yet playful, cocky and merciless, smart but a bit of a goof. Upon being fused, Gogeta says:
"Using the Potara it was Vegito, wasn't it? How about, [...] Gokuja, Gokujo... How about Gogeta?"

This seems to hint that "Vegito" and "Gogeta" are just titles for the same fused-person, and the only reason they use different names is to differentiate which fusion made them- out of pure showmanship.

Who is the most quintessential Dragonball-verse villain?

    Posted: 18 Jun 2020 02:44 PM PDT

The options range from all the shows, movies, etc. DB, DBZ, DBS, DB GT, etc.

Out of all the villains, who do you guys think most ppl think of first with DBZ and why?

Also I got a feeling Frieza will a very popular pick so if you pick him, do a second runner up with rationale to keep it interesting.

By Me - DBS Broly in the OG Manga style

    Posted: 18 Jun 2020 12:50 AM PDT

Simple goku in ssj form. Wanted to practice with color pencils!

    Posted: 18 Jun 2020 11:23 AM PDT

Just started reading the manga and I'd like to ask a few dumb questions [Spoilers but I don't know how much]

    Posted: 18 Jun 2020 10:34 PM PDT

Never read... well any manga, really. So this is new. Still takes me like half a page to remember to read it right to left haha. But I'm trying to catch up with Super and I have a few questions. And apologies in advance if I use wrong names, I pretty much only know the show.

    • In this image here from Chapter 43 they show Super Buu absorbing Grand Supreme Kai. I was always under the impression that Kid Buu was the "base" form of Buu, then he became Fat Buu when he absorbed Grand Supreme Kai, and only Super Buu once he expunged the evil out of his body physically and was in turn absorbed by it. What am I incorrect on here?

    • How do they show the different colors? When Chapter 44 spoilers happens, how do I know what form Vegeta takes since his hair always has the same shape? In this it looks like normal Super Saiyan, so how will I know if he or Goku go Blue?

    • From what I've seen the manga calls, what I know as ki, chi. Is Chi Chi's name different in the manga? And does everyone (even Frieza, apparently) always call Goku by his full Son Goku name?

    • From what one of the chapters showed, this new Moro stuff takes place after both Tournament of Power AND Broly, yes?

Thank you so much, I know a lot of these questions are stupid but I had a hard time finding answers for them with google.

Am I the only one who prefers Krillin's look in the Majin Buu Saga versus his original and classic look?

    Posted: 18 Jun 2020 01:27 PM PDT

Because I personally his style of clothing the most in the Majin Buu Saga more than his regular look and I prefer him to have black hair as opposed to being bold.

I don't know, his look in the Majin Buu Saga is much more nostalgic to me.

    Freiza's potential is fucking insane

    Posted: 18 Jun 2020 01:38 PM PDT

Our purple boi has so much ability if he applied himself that its actually frightening. Think about it.

Namek Frieza was capable of what he did to planet Vegeta and Namek with NO training at all. Heck, wat he did to Vegeta was in his weakest form.

Golden Frieza was able to keep up with SSB, which succeeded SSJ, SSJ2, SSJ3, and SSG. He skips all of this with 4 MONTHS of training. 4 MONTHS.

Just imagine what would befall the universe if Frieza trained as much as Goku or Vegeta. Our Saiyans are gonna get their asses whooped so damn hard. Even if Naruto donated all his plot armor, there is still no chance.

I would go as far as to say that after 5-10 years, he'll be able to defeat even Beerus.

Most impactful transformation in all of Dragon Ball?

    Posted: 18 Jun 2020 04:38 PM PDT

Lately I've been thinking to myself about which transformations are the most impactful, I have no doubt in my mind that the original Super Saiyan transformation is the most impactful, but I can't decide on a second. I think Super Saiyan God could possibly be the second most impactful (not the second best), due to the fact that Super Saiyan God opened the door to God ki for Saiyans and allowed them to reach the Super Saiyan Blue transformation, which is arguably the most powerful form as of now for the Saiyans. (excluding Broly's forms)

Vegeta's final flash on cell should have birthed a dangerous enemy

    Posted: 18 Jun 2020 02:58 PM PDT

During the Cell saga when vegeta barely hits cell with his final flash, he sends this huge attack recklessly off into space. I've always thought there should have been consequences from this moment. A new enemy could have emerged as a result of Vegeta blindly shooting this devastating beam in all his pride. Imagine if the beam hit a relatively peaceful planet, killing off half the population with no warning. Women and children are killed instantly, the once peaceful and prospering planet becomes an apocalyptic dwelling place, and the remaining inhabitants suffer the loss of loved ones and lose their spirited way of life. They all share the same confusion and frustration over the event but one inhabitant in particular is changed in a unique way. He was the sort of a goku like character whose charming, loving and joyful to be around and now has a grudge. He was the hero of the planet who everyone looked up to. The planet knew him as their strongest ( the innocent super man on the farm type strong but), but he's not an inherent warrior as this was not a fighting planet because no trouble ever came there. Violence or any act that causes harm has never existed amongst them but now he wants to fight whoever attacked them. The anger he feels is strange for the inhabitants, because of their peaceful nature, they consider these types of emotions sins. He is enraged and wants justice. There are radioactive sights as a result of vegetas attack, so he developes an energy tracing technology that he uses to track where the attack came from and he plans on confronting the source. There is an elder counsel that tries to keep him from acting on his rage but he goes against them and takes off to kill vegeta. This type of enemy could've added to vegetas arc because the enemy was a good at heart but is now evil because of vegeta. Vegeta realizes this and begins to see no difference between himself and frieza so he feels guilty...

Why did Dragon Ball GT turn Pan into such a weak fighter after DBZ hyped her up a lot?

    Posted: 18 Jun 2020 03:13 AM PDT

It seemed like they were implying she was a prodigy, headed to great things, and then on GT, she's turned into a whiny brat who always loses a fight, has to be saved by her Grandpa Goku, can't even transform into Super Saiyan (which is fucking stupid). Toriyama said he didn't know how to draw Female Saiyans which I never understood that logic.

I feel Pan was completely wasted in GT even though she was a co-lead. Most of her screen time was her crying and being bratty. At least when Gohan cried, he was a toddler. Pan was a teenager. And what the heck was up with Bra?

    Goku's strength ....

    Posted: 18 Jun 2020 08:35 PM PDT

Maybe the reason why Goku is always one step ahead of Vegeta despite being a low class warrior is because he drank that Ultra Divine Water in the King Piccolo Saga which unlocks the power of great ape Oozaru without transforming into one or just his latent hidden potential.

Future Gohan is such a fantastic character

    Posted: 18 Jun 2020 08:22 PM PDT

I only recently read the series (I've read through the Cell bit), but I just have to say, Future Gohan is such a great character. It's the perfect arc of his character, unfortunately in the most tragic way possible. He goes from a kid able to pursue his scholarly dreams with parents that care about him, not to mention another major father figure in the form of Piccolo. Then it all changes when the people protecting the world and giving him the opportunity to do what he wants with his life all die, including Goku and Piccolo. Suddenly he's the only person on the planet who can pose a threat to the androids, and has to drop his dreams and fight them, without any help or support, since oh right, everyone that could help died. I absolutely love that this is never shown, and allows the reader to realize this themself rather than showing you outright. For me, it makes the realization even more powerful. Seeing Gohan minus an arm, obviously still dealing with the pain of losing so many friends and family, but still doing his best at being a mentor and sort of father figure to Trunks like Piccolo was to him is absolutely heartbreaking. I was already convinced that the series was good, but this is the moment it blew me away.

    All God Ki Users

    Posted: 18 Jun 2020 01:46 PM PDT

When God Ki was first introduced to me I thought it was only used by beerus whis and ssg goku. Later with the introductions of new characters with god ki made me think of all the god ki users. God ki's first known user was Shin but it's never been stated whether Kami, King Kai or even Yemma had god ki so i'm wondering, who are all the god ki users?
