Posted: 11 Sep 2020 07:32 PM PDT I don't know if I have an guardian angel but I had one, I hope he'd be like Whis - flamboyant, laid back & soft spoken. [link] [comments]

Why isn't plot armor really that common in DBZ? Posted: 11 Sep 2020 10:08 PM PDT Plot armor is utilized in a lot of anime such as Naruto, Fairy Tail, Attack on Titan, and Sword Art Online. I noticed that Dragon Ball Z doesn't really rely on plot armor that much compared to other anime. Like I was kinda surprised when Goku died in the fifth episode (third in DBZ Kai). If it weren't for the Dragon Balls, most of the cast would be long dead. So why couldn't DBZ just use plot armor instead of killing of an important character and then bringing him back with the Dragon Balls? [link] [comments]

It makes sense that trunks would be skinny Posted: 11 Sep 2020 06:58 PM PDT Okay so I dont really like super the anime in fact I kinda hate it. I do however find the manga a fun continuation still not the best, but i dont like what they did with trunks design until know kinda. Ik it probably isn't the way they intended but trunks would be skinny due to starvation and lack of food. Ik its probably just a design thing but it makes me enjoy the story more. (Even if I would have preferred a more dbz trunks) [link] [comments]
Was the character aspect of Goku being deathly afraid of needles just a filler addition? Posted: 11 Sep 2020 12:36 PM PDT I've never read the manga, so I'm asking you hardcore canon fans. Even as an adult it still cracks me up that in the Saiyan saga and Freeza saga there are two scenes where Goku loses his shit over the idea of taking a shot. But it seems like that'd just be filler. Was it? [link] [comments]

Why is Gohan's Ultimate Form associated with a bang? Posted: 11 Sep 2020 05:49 PM PDT It's something that has been bothering me for a while that I just had to make a Reddit account to talk about it. People seem to think that Gohan isn't in his Ultimate state if he doesn't have the bang, but originally, in the boo arc, Gohan already had a bang before having his potential unleashed by Elder Kai. The bang only carries over to his Ultimate state, it's not indicative of it. Especially since the Ultimate Form isn't really a transformation is it? Or at least it's not supposed to be I think. The only things that change about Gohan is his eyes, which I don't really like a whole lot. But that change is what makes it obvious that Gohan, from that point on, till the end of Z, or even GT, that Gohan is always in his Ultimate state. It becomes his base power without having the need to transform, isn't that the point of it? He just has to raise his Ki or power up if he ever needs to, no transformation required. But the Super anime treats like a transformation with the whole bang when it doesn't even make sense to me, it was just his hairstyle at the time and at the end of Z and beginning of Super he doesn't have the bang, and it should have stayed like that for the sake of consistency. The Super manga does a better job at this in the ToP when Gohan fights Kefla. He has no bang, but he's clearly using his potential unleashed power because how else can he match up to a Potara fusion anyway? Yet people think he was fighting in "base" form, again, treating it like a transformation when that power IS his base power. But the manga can also be confusing because Gohan says "I choose to fight as a human" or something, implying that he's not gonna rely on SSJ transformation and his Saiyan side, but he's a hybrid Saiyan, so he wouldn't have the power that he does if he was a normal human. In conclusion, I don't even know bruh. What do y'all think? Sorry for the long post. [link] [comments] |
