    toriyama got rid of scouters because PL's shouldn't determine who wins fights or something like that or they become useless.

    that's fine if the story played out that way but lets break it down

    goku vs frieza, goku can't win so he unlocks a transformation making him stronger then frieza.

    androids saga, saiyans can't win so they train in the room of plot convenience and get stronger then the androids. gohan fights cell and can't win and unlocks another transformation on top of that to completely obliterate cell.

    buu saga, they can't win so goku teaches goten and trunks the fusion to become stronger then buu, they still can't win. gohan gets his potential unlocked for the second time and obliterates buu, buu absorbs gotenks and now gohan is too weak to beat buu. goku and vegeta fuse with a method that's supposed to be even more OP then the previous fusion method, but they run out of time.

    finally the spirit bomb is used to defeat buu, but the bomb still wasn't strong enough on it's own to beat buu, so goku has his energy restored to put even more force into it to finally overpower buu.

    all that and i haven't even gotten to beerus yet.

    what if belmod gets angry at goku that his team lost the universe survival arc and gets a time ring and goes forward in time and mistakes goten for goku and becomes goten black and goes over to trunks timeline and does battle with the 2 trunks as goten black.
