If you had to show one scene of DB/DBZ/DBS to get someone interested in watching anything dragon ball related what would it be?

    Posted: 15 Jan 2021 07:10 PM PST

    This would be mine

A kid that has an adult beside him that looks terrified of what seems to be some kind of demon in front of him, is so enraged, angry and courageous that he attacks with no problems going head to head with this demon for a certain reason. I fucking love this scene. Easily one of my favorite throughout dragon ball. What's yours?

Where the ever loving HFIL did all the recent hate for the Buu Saga come from?

    Posted: 15 Jan 2021 04:52 PM PST

Seriously, I always grew up knowing that every original saga in Z (not counting filler arcs) was equally and consistently liked, with a few favorites depending on who you ask. All of a sudden there's a ton of people railing on the Buu Saga and I'm sitting here like "what just happened?"

    Can anyone fill me in??

Why doesn't Budokai 1 get the respect it deserves?

    Posted: 15 Jan 2021 08:57 PM PST

This game undoubtedly has the best storyline, cutscenes, voice acting, and (ESPECIALLY) soundtrack of any DBZ game to date. It was well made for its time and set the precedent for all the DBZ games that followed. No other game in the franchise managed to get the aspects of Budokai 1 done quite as well, yet they received far more credit. Don't get me wrong, the combat in this game is dated and quite lackluster, but considering the fact that it is the very first game in the franchise, I believe it gets a pass. All I know is that their attempt at translating the anime into a video game was spot on, and accurately captured the vibe and atmosphere which I loved.

    What attack was this?

    Posted: 15 Jan 2021 06:47 PM PST

When Goku was fighting Frieza he hit Frieza's heart and it messed him up (2:13). Does that attack have a name or am I being dumb?

If Disney made a live action Dragon Ball Film

    Posted: 15 Jan 2021 09:22 PM PST

I think if Disney were to make a live action version of Dragon Balls they would get rid of the silliness and overt the top power levels. Captain Marvel would quickly dispatch Mastered Ultra Instinct Goku but in the film she is not shown as over the top powerful the same way Goku is. Disney would get rid of the nonsense and bring Goku's power level in line to make him more acceptable to live action format. They would also give Goku some characterization to explain why he fights and what motivates him to become strong. I think it would the movie would probably end up being the highest profitable Dragon Ball film of all time.
