What this scene means? I never understood why Gohan screams the name of some animals and objects.

It's frustrating that pretty much most of the new video games ignore Dragon Ball

    Posted: 25 Mar 2021 07:44 PM PDT

For example Kakarot starts as per usual with The Saiyan Saga, but it really should've started from the beginning. Now I am very aware that there are not a lot of big bads to fight leading up the first tournament it doesnt change they used the damn RR robots as overworld enemies in Kakarot anyway. Xenoverse 2 wouldve been PERFECT for it, cmon did Mira/Towa really not at any point do the whole "Lets kill him as a child" idea. Budokai Tenkaichi 3 was so dope because it gave us a pretty nice roster of OG DB characters like King Piccolo's children, Grandpa Gohan, ect.

Sorry not tryng to turn this into a rant, I've been rewatching the entire series again and remembered how much I adore the original series and it's a shame that for everything it started it seems to get shafted in the this area. Heck even FighterZ used GT Goku..at least thats close enough I suppose.

I wanna end it by saying I don't even need a full length campaign, just hit the key battles of the DB series, give us some characters, and boom.

I think Goten should have had more memorable/unique techniques

    Posted: 25 Mar 2021 08:14 PM PDT

He has a kamehameha which he pronounces wrong, but that is everything he has going for him. It is not necessary that the user having a memorable technique is invented by him, it is the technique which the user is most associated to (somewhat like a signature move )

    • Goku has kamehameha/dragon fist/spirit bomb
    • Vegeta has big bang/final flash
    • Krillin has destructo dic
    • Piccolo has special beam cannon
    • Gohan has masenko/kamehameha
    • Yamcha has wolf fang fist
    • Tien has neo tri beam
    • Even kid Trunks has big tree cannon

Goten should not have had a vanilla kamehameha in my opinion, some kind of twist or a variation could have been great, or I think he should have had a unique move because it was Chi-Chi who trained him

What I want for dragon ball

    Posted: 25 Mar 2021 09:40 PM PDT

I would like to see more variety in db and not just it doesn't matter the z fighters will fight get shit wacked vegeta comes in gets beat up and goku comes in and akira toriyama glizzy eats him, the moro arc did have somewhat of that but I hate how db handles it's characters outside of og db and dbz.

    1. Goku and vegeta pretty much any saiyan can get cool hair dye forms but no one else has anything other than base.

I don't get why it is so hard to just make the other z fighters train and get techniques as well, in an anime like one piece almost everyone has haki or can get it and pretty much no character is left out, and also every character has character arcs and for the most part back stories. Now imagine that with db

    2. I get that Gohan is just a nerd now but is it too difficult to help his character development even a little?

Gohan after dbz or at least in the buu saga and so forth (even tho he was still cool in the buu saga) just became a total boring hollow character, why can't akira and toyotaro put it in his character that when his family is on the line he has to boss up? and I want his character to grow more

    3. I think a good amount of people hate the Vegeta and Goku show now

it's become so clear that db has no good writing going for it and its just money hungry, og db had adventure meaning and depth, dbz had a simple plot but a good plot with good characters who for the most part would play their roles, and im obviously thinking out loud but i want to see the writing go up I want more for this show I will be fine if vegeta and goku take the last fight and win as long as the other z fighters have meaningful battles and development as well, I want more variety and adventure I slowly lose more interest in db every single day because it is so one sided at this point.

Let me know what you guys think and if you agree or disagree :)

Should I watch DB in English after Goku gets older?

    Posted: 25 Mar 2021 07:37 PM PDT

I've just about finished the first dragon ball and I'm kinda surprised he still sounds like a kid. I took a quick peek when he's older and it seems to be the same. I don't want to miss out on anything the dub may have cut but would it be worth watching in dub? The kid voice is really weird to me, it's like the VA didn't even attempt to make him sound older.

What were the best arcs of Dbz?

    Posted: 25 Mar 2021 09:06 AM PDT

A friend of mine suggested to me that Dbz was nothing but senseless action with no direction. While I could understand how he might feel that way I explained that there were many great storylines and plots in the series. My personal favorite is Vegeta's character arc wrapping up in the Buu saga when he finally let go of being a villain as well as his old mindset, truly embracing his family and friends. What do you guys think? I'd love to hear some other fans' ideas on this.
