    DBS Movie, 2022 Discussion! What will the movie be about/who is the unexpected character Toei spoke about? [Includes manga spoilers]

    So, this thread is mainly for discussing the various theories on what next year's movie is going to be about! I'm currently going through a list of dbz characters to try to figure out what unexpected character Toei spoke about being in the movie & trying to think of plots for those characters. I'll list in my opinion the most likely and least likely character that the movie will be about. This list keeps in mind that Toei made a reboot of Broly, so he may also be looking into making other characters cannon as well.

    Most likely:

    Lord slug

    My #1 candidate is Lord slug! Yes he was around before Goku went SSJ, but in the movie Goku's SSJ form was teased right before the episode the form premiered in. That would be a great throwback to use to tease something else! Now, in the dragon ball super manga, it was recently announced that Namekians are a multidimensional/multiplanetary race and the current Granolah arc is based heavily around the use of the dragon balls. It seems Toei wants to dive deeper into the lore of Namekians and what better way than to make a movie about them! Lord Slug was known as a Super Namekian and could offer more information about the super dragon balls(& possibly have the plot revolve around him trying to get the super dragon balls) and the Namekian god that created them! This could also shine a light--to guide him towards godhood--on Piccolo who has kinda been outta the spotlight like Gohan and this could also be a great way to get Gohan training again to perfect his Mystic form since it was originally on Namek where Gohan had his potential unlocked!

    Cooler

    As stated by others, we could see Frieza wishing Cooler back to life and teaching him to attain A golden form & performing fusion to face Gogeta since Frieza knows he doesn't stand a chance against him solo.

    Dabura

    The movie could introduce more demons into the mix & offer an "Angels vs. Demons" Battle since Goku's reaching the Angel State; maybe another tournament revolving around this?

    Least likely

    Gohan

    As much as I would love for Gohan to get his own movie, I don't believe we have enough setup for a plot to use for Gohan to get a movie about him. Unless we see Gohan go to future Trunk's timeline to help him with some future baddy and finally see Gohan develop his Mystic form like he spoke about at the beginning of the tournament of power to Goku.

    I believe Uub is not a very likely candidate because I feel he will actually get his own arc, but you can say he has his own with the Moro arc since he had a hand in defeating Moro. At the same time that was also his introduction into the series canonically, so I stand by my opinion that he will get his own arc later on in like season 3/4.

    Bardock, King Vegeta, Gine, Radits, Tarble, & U6 Saiyans planet

    Maybe a movie about either wishing back Goku & vegeta's saiyan families and going to U6 saiyans planet, or even just Goku & Vegeta going to the U6 Saiyans planet.

    How a reboot of the entire Dragon Ball would be?

    A reboot is when a story start again from 0 with the preservation of the the important elements.

    What plot the series would change?

    This are some interesting plots that the reboot could follow:

    • Raditz don't die (the most wasted character of dbz)
    • Goku don't go alone to the Earth
    • The dragon balls can't bring to life people so easy.
    • Cooler can be canon
    • King Cold can have more leadership
    • Goku isn't the one who kills Freezer (Vegeta?)
    • The time travel could be so interesting

    A infinity of new plots could come. And isn't necessary to discontinue the original series. They could be on TV simultaneously

    Alternate Universal Tournament of Power: Golden Oozaru

    What if U6 and U7 worked together for the tournament of power and had some preparation time? In addition, golden oozaru is utilized and 6 golden oozaru go nuts, only for Krillin to clutch the win with the destructo disc (perhaps frieza would also join in once the utter terror leaves him). I think this would've been a riot. Imagine the other universe's reaction to these super-powered golden monkeys absolutely obliterating everything. There could even be a mecha-godzilla vs kong kind of fight. Champa and Beerus would be alternating between freaking out at these insane monkeys and cheering for the decimation of the opponents while Whis and Vados just sit back and enjoy the show. Meanwhile, the two zenos think that this is the best thing that could've ever happened and decide the tournament should be done regularly. All around, completely fantastic chaos.

    Dragon Ball Z: The History of Trunks asking for a purchase in Deluxe Edition.

    Hlo, i have Dragon Ball Z Kakarot deluxe edition(digital) on PS4. i was able to download the first 2 dlc's from the ps store for free. but he History of Trunks is not available to download and is asking for a purchase. can anyone please confirm is it included in the deluxe edition or not?

    Dragon Ball Fanfic Ideas

    I've been thinking about doing these again but I'm trying to decide between two.

    The first one I was going to make was meant to be about a collision of What-If choices. Overall, it was going to be a strange story revolving around the use of various What-Ifs strewn together to make a hopefully fun yet wacky and still serious story with things such as Gine and other saiyans on Earth, more representation for certain characters, the survival of Raditz, and excuse me for this one, the implementation of an OC or a few solely for the sake of the writing. Though they don't play much of a role unless needed.

    But the second idea I had is actually somewhat fresh. I was thinking about writing a story from the perspective of Turles. From his both and into his adulthood and how he could be workshopped into any point of the story as a possibly turn-good Saiyan that could expand the story of the race by even getting Raditz more involved.

    I just need some possible feedback, ideas, and which ones you might like better.
