    So I have been working on a dbz rpg for a while and I have a pretty good mechanic going, but I wanted to know if I should change it up

    As of rn, your stats add up to create your Power level. Who ever has the highest power level gains bonuses in combat equal to the difference (if your pl 8 and your opponent is pl 9 they get a +1 bonus) You can then from there spend points from your stamina or ki to add bonus to your rolls, and the max bonus is equal to the corresponding stat (if strength is 3 then you can add more the 3 points to your damage, if speed is 2 can't add more the +2 to your accuracy)

    But , I wanted to know, instead of your Power Level being the overall factor, should it be based of stats? Like if I have a speed of 8 and opponent has a speed of 10, the get +2 to there dodge and accuracy, if my strength if 7 and there toughness is 9 they take 2 less damage.. What do you think?

    Rating Dragon Ball Z Filler

    Filler in DBZ gets a lot of hate. So, I figured I would watch all of them along with Kai to get a sense of which ones are good and which ones are skippable. Here's what I think about each of the filler arcs.

    Gohan's Training / Snake Way: 6/10

    There is some really good material in here to establish Gohan's transformation from a shy little kid to a survivalist warrior and to build Piccolo's bond with Gohan. But 8 episodes is entirely too long, and it gets repetitive and slow moving. But overall it's definitely worth watching.

    Fake Namek: 5.5/10

    This arc gets a lot of hate, which I feel is undeserving. It's classic dragon ball hunting with a subversive, secretly evil element to it. Sure, the whole adventure ends up being a pointless trap. But I enjoyed watching all of it. It would be higher if it added more to the plot. I'd say watch it.

    Garlic Jr: 3/10

    This 10 episode arc had about 3 good episodes of material in it. It feels like they took an outline to a Dead Zone sequel and stretched it out over 10 episodes instead of making a movie. It's a good premise but a little painful to watch. Skippable.

    Android Training: 7/10 Goku's Ordeal and the training surrounding the androids coming is unskippable. Its worth just for seeing Piccolo in that outfit. It's only 2 episodes and it covers 3 years, so definitely watch them.

    Pre-Cell Games: 4/10

    The Lime episode has some good moments (though would be a better child Goku episode). And it's cool seeing Mercenary Tao again. But there's not much worth watching here.

    Other World Tournament: 4/10

    The low stakes fights weren't that exciting, especially for as hyped up as strong other world competitors are. But the other kais and grand kai were pretty funny. Watch the banter, skip the fights.

    What’s a good fight to show someone you want to give DBZ a chance?

    They haven't giving Dragonball a chance cause it's reputation for taking too long to power up etc. but they love shonen so I know they'd love it, so I think an awesome DBZ fight might push them to give it a chance. I'm thinking Goten vs Trunks from the world tournament something they can just jump into and see? But what do you guys think?

    How did Piccolo turn good since he’s evil embodied?

    I mean, I don't really understand how Piccolo even has the capacity for good since he's literally the reincarnation of pure evil. There should be nothing in his genetics that allow him to be capable of anything other then evil yet he somehow became good because of developing a bond with Gohan? Idk could someone help me understand?

    Creepy waifu knowledge aside, Just think how strange it would be to know what it felt like to fight yourself? My head cannon tells me this is why the two seemed to get closer and become more of a duo following the Buu saga .

    why didn't shin ask beerus for help?

    I know that Beerus didn't exist at the time, but within the universe. Why didn't shin tell Beerus about Majin Buu instead of Goku and Gohan? he could have contacted whis, to wake him up saying that this was an emergency.

    Kamehameha vs spirit Bomb

    Maybe I missed something but can Goku use spirit Bomb in SSJ form? I'm not sure if I've ever seen it in the anime. Any reason ever explained for this other than it's not in his move set for DBFZ (or other games)
