    ...Goku tried utilizing Kaioken while in Super Saiyan 3? Would he maybe self destruct? Slowly and painfully disintegrate as he likely physically converts to energy? Maybe his veins and arteries glow bright red while that happens?

    Seemed like an interesting hypothetical to explore. 🤔

    EDIT: For the love of... let's argue he ACHIEVES it. What becomes his physical reaction or manifestation afterwards?

    I know why he was dropped in the story but why didn't the writers want to use him? Him dropping out did let them recruit Frieza but couldn't they have just dropped someone like Tien which would bring their total to 9 including Buu and then added Frieza in anyway? He probably could've been used for another major fight during the tournament, maybe against someone like Hit who also wasn't utilized properly compared to Tien who brought nothing.

    Would you rather read a fanfic story about multiple what-if scenarios jammed together or a story focusing on just one what-if and the changes that follow with it?

    Simple discussion, really. I wanted to know if people would rather read a story about multiple different What-Ifs changing the series as a whole? Like, What-If Gine Went to Earth with Goku but other What-If Stories occur too such as maybe the canonization of a different character. Or would you rather just read a story about one What-If scenario and then the changes that sprout from it?

    Im french. I just watched the Funimation version of DBZ for the first time. And heard for the first time the Funimation dub ost.

    I've been fan of DBZ since im kid. To put you in a perspective, here, DBZ og soundtrack are as popular as Naruto soundtrack. You can here it everywhere. Some are even meme. But, i've heard that DBZ didn't had the same ost everywhere. I was curious and i wanted to watch the Funimation version.

    So i watch it and... Wow. It's where you realised how music can totally change the way you see something. It's A TOTAL different show. Im not gonna talk about the show, just the soundtrack.

    So im gonna say what i like, and what i don't like.

    • I don't really like how there's always a ost in the background. What i loved in the jap version that wasn't there in the funimation one, is the moment where there was a silence and when the fight start, the fight start with a epic fighting ost. Just like Goku VS Freezer (Frieza) : https://youtu.be/YWiMbSD0J4E( well here the channel directly cut it from the fight, but you can here in the very debut that there's a silence and then the soundtrack drop.)

    • I think that the soundtrack are just good at best. Not great, just good imo. I don't like always hearing a rock music when there's a fight and i think it's the reason why it's not great imo. And i even think that the soundtrack in global are mediocre but...

    • However, yes i don't like the nonstop rock music and i do think that it's not that good, but it's get balanced because of banger. Because when a ost is good, it's VERY good. Soundtrack like Goku SSJ theme song, Goku SSJ3 theme song, Gohan anger theme and Vegeta SSJ theme song are godlike.

    • While i do love the dramatic ost of the jap, i do think that in some scene the Funimation did it better. Like this one :https://youtu.be/Ps0UodUr_pM. Or this one :https://youtu.be/2om9tJsswKI. And while i don't think that the SSJ3 scene the dub did it better, i think they are pretty equal. It's still good to see how 2 studio totally change how you look at one scene with one ost. SSJ3 Jap, more dramatic. SSJ3 Funimation, more epic.

    To finish, i think it's was the first and last time i will watch DBZ Funimation. Not necessarily because it's bad, just because i can't think of any other ost for DBZ than the og ost. It's probably nostalgia, but i also think that the Jap version still have globally way better soundtrack. I probably will watch scene like Goku transforming into the SSJ or the SSJ3, Vegeta doing the final flash with the dub but never i will watch scene like Gohan SSJ2 with the dub. I think the main problem of the DBZ dub soundtrack is that there's way too much epic ost and there's not a lot of soundtrack that can make us feel other emotions. To compare it to the Jap version, scene like : Gohan transforming into the SSJ2, the scene where Majin Vegeta explain why he get bad again, Piccolo sacrifice, Majin Vegeta sacrifice or Vegeta death at Namek are all emotional scene that didn't hit the same with the dub version because of the soundtrack. And not only that, but the fighting theme in the Jap version are some of the most memorable one in anime. And while i think that the best soundtrack of the Funimation dub are awesome, i think that the very best ost of the jap version are as awesome, if not even better for some. And there's a lot more good soundtrack for the jap version in my opinion.

    So yeah, Funimation dub have good soundtrack, some are banger, but globally the Jap version ost are way better imo. Sorry if i did some error. So what do you think? And also tell me how was your first DBZ experience with other soundtrack. Like if you watch DBZ Funimation dub soundtrack and you did watch after the Jap version, how was your experience?
