I just finished a first-time Playthrough of DBZ Kakarot.

    Posted: 12 Oct 2021 10:26 AM PDT

The fan service was 9/10. A few memorable lines and parts left out/skipped over but overall perfect storytelling of the Z story. With original voice casts as well (well 90% of them anyways). Music is 10/10. West City theme is a banger. They also included 95% of all the music from the TV show. The game is aesthetically pleasing and they nailed it. It's very colorful and nice on the eyes. My only real complaint is some of it is kinda repetitive, but so are parts of games like Kingdom Hearts or any JRPG for that matter.

Overall I'd give this game a 9/10 and IMO it is the best DBZ game made to date. A casual playthrough was about 35 hours. I highly recommend it.

Throughout their lives, how can the Saiyan ageing process be compared to the human ageing process?

    Posted: 12 Oct 2021 10:56 PM PDT

    I'll use some info I found;

    Toriyama (via Kanzenshuu):

"Saiyans are a warrior race, so their aging slows once they reach an age suitable for fighting, and they maintain great strength for a long time. However, their lifespan is not much different from Earthlings', and when they reach a certain age, they rapidly grow frail,"

    Forum chat: https://www.kanzenshuu.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=44401

In reply to comment: "Pretty sure that Saiyan aging doesn't accellarate after they reach 80 years old. Never once did Toriyama EVER say something like that."

"Toriyama does say that they rapidly age after a certain point though. From his Q&A for the Character Volume of the Super Exciting Guide:"

    Forum chat: https://www.kanzenshuu.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=26812

"Pure Saiyans do not age or grow like humans at all. They have four major stages, with very minor instances of growth between them.

From baby to child: Toriyama shows us with Jaco that by age two, Goku is basically the same size we see him at at the start of the series.

Child to adult: Toriyama also mentions in Jaco that have a long period of adolescence to deceive those around them until they are ready to spurt into adulthood, with a body that is physically more suited for fighting. This happened to Goku some time between the ages of 15 and 18.

Adult to Elderly: In the Super Exciting Guide, Toriyama mentions that Saiyans stay in their prime for a very long time because they are a warrior race. Meaning that once they hit adulthood, they barely change physically ... once they reach a certain age, that prime period ends and their body will rapidly deteriorate into an elderly state. In DBO, Goku and Vegeta leave Earth in fear of this happening to them and go off into space to die a warrior's death. Vegeta is physically around 70, while Goku is close to 60."

    Human age Saiyan age equivalent
    0 - 7 0 - 4
    8 - 12 5 - 15
    13 - 16 16 - 17
    17 - 22 18 - 20
    23 - 35 21 - 70
    36 - 60 71 - 80
    60 - 80 81 - 90

    • The Saiyan effectively looks like a big toddler, a normal child, a small teen then a physically gifted athlete at 20.
    • Here, the athletic 'prime' of the human would be 12 years (maybe with a peak between age 25 and 30ish. Although, a fighter's prime can be a subjective one; they might peak physically in their 20s, but mentally in their 30s. The same goes for a lot of sport, really. The Saiyan could be in that prime and or peak for fifty years.
    • The last 40 or so years of the human would be an eqivalent to around 20 years for the Saiyan.

Please tell me if you think I'm wrong, and how :)

Is it actually possible to win in beam struggles against the computer on the highest difficulty in budokai tenkaichi 2 for the ps2?

    Posted: 12 Oct 2021 11:01 PM PDT

Someone please help me out because I just lost a beam struggle against cui in story mode using goku and I'm over here like do I even stand a chance at this in the highest difficulty or not ? Like is it possible without messing up my controller ? Lol also do I need to strictly rotate the control stick in a circle to win or could I just rock the control stick back and forth and would it have the same effect as it would if I was rotating the control stick ?

What ever happened to staying in base SSJ for extended periods of time?

    Posted: 12 Oct 2021 07:45 PM PDT

In the Cell saga, when Goku and Gohan came out of the HTC, they were in base SSJ form, and remained in that form for the whole week before the Cell games. The show kinda made a big deal about them mastering SSJ grade IV, and being able to stay in SSJ for long periods of time without expending energy (side question: we're they in grade I when they were just chillin all week and only went to grade IV when fighting, or were they just grade IV the whole time?).

This was never brought up again after the Cell saga, and I don't remember them ever explaining why. I understand why from a narrative standpoint, since it would get boring and make super saiyan seem less impactful, but was there ever an in-universe explanation? Even if they didn't do it in everyday life, I feel like it would make sense for characters to get to that point in preparation for fights they could foresee, such as the 25th world martial arts tournament or the tournament of power. It would kinda be similar to how swimmers/runners will rest or "taper" for meets.

Just curious if there was a reason for this not being a thing anymore, or if it was dropped with no explanation.

(Theory) Makkora is the Grand Priest's wife and Mother to the Angels

    Posted: 12 Oct 2021 10:50 AM PDT

As you might know a female Angel called Makkora has so far only been seen in a concept art: https://i.imgur.com/HNhirT2.png she has hair resembling that of Bulma at the end of z, in general they use this hairstyle to show a woman is getting older. Idk what u guys think about it, but and yes ik she could just be another angel of the erased universes, but i feel like she could actually be the Grand Priest's wife and the Mother to all Angels.

As you guys know there are a lot of angels we havent seen yet (presumably) all in the angel realm right now, with the exception of grand priest and the angels of existing universes. Pls remember this is just a theory and what i think the character is, would just like to know your opinion on this.
