    Hot Take: Gohan's Highschool Episodes were some of my favourite episodes

    I know everyone has their own opinions and there are a-lot of good DBZ moments throughout the series. But for me, it's hands down the Great Saiyaman Saga and Gohan's misadventures throughout highschool. For how cliche it is to have animes set in high schools, DBZ for some reason really didn't have many; I would have loved to see more of these episodes, like what would happen if Gohan joined a Club, perhaps a Paranormal Investigation Club, only to find out that the "soul" the students were looking for was just Nimbus puttering around or more instances of Gohan using essentially his super powers in ways to conceal his identity and try to adjust to the new social norms. I know a-lot of it would likely be filler, but there was something about DBZ filler that always made for great slice of life episodes.

    What other misadventures do you think Gohan had in highschool?

    Why is it that dragon fist hasn't shown up in the main anime?

    Dragon fist imo is one of the coolest moves in all of dragon ball. If you ever asked me which final move from goku i enjoy more between dragon fist and spirit bomb, id say dragon fist every time. And from what I've seen, a lot of other people like the move too. So why is it that it's only ever in non canon stuff? I honestly hope it becomes canon eventually(maybe some time while goku is training with broly and is being pushed hard or something) because we've already got stuff like gogeta and broly that became canon so why not also make this move canon? Heck, i'd probably even be fine if they made a variation that broly could use involving oozaru rather than a dragon(though I'd prefer having goku dragon fist since it's one of his few, if not his only, truly original moves).

    Far into the future, we see old man Goku and Vegeta, nearing the end of their lives. They've grown old and a bit weaker but still masters of combat and their own respective paths.

    Whis warns them of their imminent demises and their love ones gather the Super Dragons balls to allow them one final wish before they pass.

    Only one thing could ever satisfy the Saiyan; They wish to be restored to their prime fighting states and given an entire universe of their own to fight each other in.

    Whis transports them to the new universe and bids them goodbye.

    The Saiyan prepare for battle, one last confrontation to the death, a true battle with nothing held back, a warriors end.

    They begin with their Saiyan saga stance and begin their battle, evolving into each of their transformations as the battle progresses with flashbacks to each of their previous battles in between.

    Planets are destroyed as they keep instant transmission-ing to others, solar systems, galaxies. The fight keeps escalating as each fighter holds nothing back until they finally reach the Earth of this Universe, Goku becomes Ultra Instinct and Vegeta Ultra Ego and the final round begins.

    The final blow is a kamehameha/Galick gun clash. We do not see the winner but it destroys the new universe and across the 12 universes, a star can be seen for eons to come from the battle.

    What major parts is Super manga missing that anime has?

    Reposting this since I don't think it went thru on the super subreddit:

    I'm very new to super, I'm about to start reading through the manga as a lifelong dragonball fan since the 90s :) I know at this point that there's lots of retcons of older canon/non-canon material for db/z and also that the Super anime has some big parts it shows the manga does (the first two movies?) making the dragonball fandom very confusing at times.

    So my two questions are 1: if I read through the manga, what are the biggest plot/action/anything else moment I'm missing that I can see in the anime? Like I know goku does kaioken in blue form in the anime only. And 2: is there any of the super content that ISNT canon? Or is everything between the manga and anime loosely canon essentially.

    I ask because besides being curious, I'm buying all the super manga right now and am wondering if I should buy ALL the movies or just broly for now, because I know that's not in the anime.

    Is there any good expanded lore/entertaining filler? I just finished watching battle of gods and resurrection f and i know the first 2 arcs of super are essentially worse versions of those movies. Is there anything there worth watching or should i just skip past.

    Cell... Hes an incredible villain but never got the Frieza treatment (or even Buu treatment)

    I think the main reason that could be is that it was Gohan who beat him, so if he returned it would need to be Gohan he takes revenge on. But anyway, to my main point.

    With Red Ribbon coming back, i wouldnt be surprised if they are gathering data and will end up recreating cell. They dont want to mess up like they did with the androids before, if you remember RR had only gathered intel on Goku before he went to Namek. So i think these "Superhero" androids will be gathering intel for the final act against Cell.

    Gamma 1 and Gamma 2 ( like 18 and 17) will be absorbed.

    I feel like they are trying to play up a lot of nostalgia with the teaser, i dont know if Japan cares about Gohan like they do trunks, they love Trunks... But the west loves Gohan. And its about time Gohan gets his moments again. Having Gohan back in his Cell saga outfit is no coincidence.

    We been waiting for so long. Our boy finally getting some spotlight. Screw all this not wanting to fight crap... Savage Gohan needs to return.
