| Vegito Defusion really a retcon? Posted: 03 Jan 2022 09:50 PM PST A lot of people say this, and have a problem with Gokus initial "bad air" statement. However it seems most people overlooked the fact that AT clearly disnt want Vegito to beat Boo and for the Arc to end that way. He wanted it to end with Goku doing it with the Genki dama. So why did they defuse? Because… Akira was lazy and just invented a random plot device. Elder kaio wasnt wrong. Thats why it happened as soon as his barrier went down. The "time limit" is awfully coincidental if it expired at that exact moment. It was simply an "unexplained" thing like so much in DBZ. Later, in super, he simply didnt like how powerful Vegito was anymore so just nerfed the shit out of him and created more loooholes…. As always. The end. Its the exact same as Vegeta randomly getting extremely sleepy in the frieza arc and taking a little nap despite us never seeing anything like that before or after. It was a plot device, and a really shitty one, to allow gohan and krillin to betray him and for frieza to rush back. A means to prevent vegeta wishing for immortality. Although it was a really stupid plot device, it didnt create a plothole like many other times. Same crap. Lets stop offering explanations. [link] [comments] | ||
