    Dragon Ball & DBZ - King Piccolo

    So I am re watching Dragon Ball, more specifically the King Piccolo saga. King Piccolo has the ability to create soldiers by throwing up an egg. It appears he's able to make them of varying skills/strength.

    My question is, why didn't Junior make any minions? And why didn't he think of making one for the Nappa and Vegeta's arrival?

    Is super Saiyan really super Saiyan?

    This might be just because I'm up late watching Dragonball videos, so don't take this too seriously, but I just thought up some crazy stuff.

    Super Saiyan isn't really Super Saiyan but just a kaioken like boost for them. Now hear me out, in an article about Super Saiyan god, I learned that the original Super Saiyan was a Saiyan named Yamoshi. He was one of the only five good saiyans of the past, in one of his battles he was shared ki by his five righteous comrades and became a super Saiyan. In the end he was still defeated and became known as the super Saiyan god of legend. Wouldn't that technically make super Saiyan god the base super Saiyan? So is it just me or is Akira Toriyama just making up stuff on the fly?

    I've noticed all the old posts talking about this classic game are archived. All i wanted to do was say my own version of "I loved this game growing up...", so now I'm making a post to do it. I played that game through a few times even when I could have been doing literally anything else (anything...) on the internet. I could feel the intensity of those fights and slowly building up Gohan and all... man it was fun. I don't regret it. Instead of putting all their money into graphics and sound if they just kept up the writing and found a way for players to take the game into alternate endings or paths, it would be a hit today I suspect. At least it would capture my heart.

    I also noticed you can't upvote comments and stuff in archived conversations. If you could i bet all those would be through the roof. I just want a sequel to that game. The androids, cell, and maybe even buu would be so awesome to play through now.

    My issue with the Gohan/Cell fight

    I know this is likely an unpopular opinion, but I don't find the Cell vs Gohan fight very re-watchable. Don't get me wrong, Gohan turning SSJ2 is amazing, as is some of the character moments we get from the fight (Goku's sacrifice, Vegeta avenging his son, Vegeta shedding his pride to help Gohan) but here are my main gripes with the battle:

    1) There isn't a ton of fighting. Everything is one-sided. At first Cell is just pounding away at Gohan, and then after turning SSJ2 it's just Gohan pounding away at Cell. There wasn't ever a moment where the two were on equal-footing which required techniques to be used. Contrast this with the Goku/Cell battle or the Picollo/17 battle. And anytime there was a scuffle between them, the fighting animation was pretty lame. I just feel like the animators dropped the ball here with creativity.

    2) It always bothered me that Cell got regenerated after self-destructing on King Kai's planet. It's flat out shitty writing. I know it was a device needed to kill off Goku, but they could have figured out a better way to get there without this ridiculous plot armor.

    3) It always bothered me how confident Cell was when he returned to Earth after self-destructing. He just got totally overwhelmed. Why did he return after getting his ass kicked? And why did he think anything would have changed? Even if he got stronger thru a zenkai boost (which is not explicitly said in the anime although I know thats how most watchers justify it), could he not sense that he was still weaker than Gohan?

    4) Gohan getting disabled from a ki blast is the most nonsensical thing to occur. a) It was demonstrated that he should have been fast enough to save Vegeta and get out of the way, and b) this is the only time in the show where a ki blast disables a fighter. It makes no sense, and while I admit it made for a cooler ending, it never sat right with me.

    In the English, idk if it's in any other version, Piccolo returned to Namek and started to fight Frieza. Before this he and vegeta had an argument and piccolo told vegeta he would go against him after friezas done with. If piccolo could get a power up in dbs i would love to see a fight like this happen.
