    Is there any news on Toei picking up season 2 of DBS

    I have been waiting about 2 years for them to bring season 2 of DBS. I understand that COVID is effecting most anime production but they have had awhile now, so when are the planning or are they planning in general to pick up where they left off? I'm in the US and I use Funimation if that helps at all

    Do you like DB/Z, but also see bad writing in Toriyama's work?

    Sorry, for something possibly controversial, but I'm not saying this to upset people, I'm just curious of how common this feeling is and if you're wondering, it doesn't negatively effect adulthood nostalgic re-watches for me. So I still like it :)

    But with my more adult mind, I see really bad writing like making death meaningless with the dragonballs in DB, "It doesn't matter if we die as long as one of us survives, we'll all respawn" and then they adding in the battle of Radiz "Ok, you can die, but you can only do it once" and then they added exotic Namekian Dragonballs in the equation and the biggest baddie in the Universe and time travel and androids and that sounds fun when you're 12, but if an adult that knows what bad writing looks like that never seen Dragonball, you can think "they're just raising the scale and pulling more baddies out of their asses". I can be nostalgic about DB/Z and even GT and can shut off my brain and enjoy those, but with Super, I think "You never mentioned Beerus before and this whole multiverse thing feels like bad fan fiction". Though I did like the "fan fiction" with Future Trunks, it's like a feeling of having a friend over that you haven't seen in ages.

    Re-watching DB/Z, I see bad writing in the form of obvious plot conveniences and making things seem objective by assigning numbers to power, but I also see nostalgia.
