- OG Dragon Ball is one of my favorite shows of all time and I thought these visuals matched a beat I made really well
- Idk if I’m allowed to put this here since it’s not dragon ball z technically but dragon ball super won’t allow the post for some reason. This is the first drawing I made where I shaded the whole thing.

| Posted: 18 Jan 2022 06:59 AM PST I absolutely love this show. I started with Dragon Ball and plan to make it all the way through to the end of Super eventually. This is the first time I have watched it with subs so I am picking up a few things that were lost in dubs. When Bulma goes through the memories of android 16 she pulls up a bunch of files on goku. Dr. Gero created 16 for the sole purpose of killing goku so it makes sense he would have as much information on him as possible. Since 16 is an older model, older than 17 and 18 he shouldn't know about anything that happened on planet Namek and when Goku fought Freeza. Yet when she pulls his memory files there is a clear picture of Goku fighting Freeza on Namek. That shouldn't be there. Is this something the anime got wrong or did Toriyama have this in the manga? Another issue is the aging process for Namekians. Piccolo Diamo spits out an egg just before Goku finishes him. This egg is the reincarnation of Piccolo. In a span of 3 years he goes from being an egg to being mostly grown. However when we see Dende on Namek during the Freeza saga and then 3 years later when he is chosen as kami for earth. | Question about Gohan for my What If Posted: 18 Jan 2022 05:50 AM PST You see, I just came back from an unbelievably long hiatus (3 months) in regards to working on my What If fanfiction "What If Dr Gero turned good". Currently, the Cell Saga is the focus, and I plan for Cell to become much more powerful in this version of the story as opposed to the original. That being said, my question to you all is… should I allow Gohan to become even more powerful by extension, or should I give another character some spotlight in regards to the defeat of Cell. Posted: 17 Jan 2022 09:48 AM PST So the anime's way of explaining blue is that Goku and Vegeta need to keep all of their energy inside their bodies to achieve blue (which is how Perfected Blue works in the manga) and manga barely explains anything at all beyond an admittedly pretty funny joke about Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan being a mouthful. Blue could've been more interesting as an emotional hurdle for Goku and Vegeta to overcome. Combining the rage behind Super Saiyan and the inherently calm nature with God ki should be incredibly difficult. After all, Krillin in the anime ToP said that Goku can't charge the Spirit Bomb as a Super Saiyan, even after having mastered the form completely over a decade ago. I think the Blue form could've been achieved through intense emotional training. The requirements being total self-awareness and being at peace with oneself. I'm sure someone who knows more about psychology could explore this better than me though. It's not a very Dragon Ball way to go about things, but it's fun to think about. [link] [comments] | ||
