    Watching the team four star version of cell games made me realise this...

    If the series ended after piccolo Jr, or freiza, or cell, hell even GT and super, controversial as they are - all have great endings that do a good job of wrapping up the whole thing.

    What was the 'other way' Shin on about against Buu?

    When Gohan mentions to Shin that killing Babidi might make Buu harmless, Shin disputes that.

    He then adds:

    'I curse myself got my hubris... I honestly thought I could stop Bobbidi [Viz name for Babidi]...'

    'If I had known that you humans were far stronger than I... I could have used the other way.'

    What 'other way' was Shin on about? Was he on about the Z Sword?

    Experiencing DBZ for the first time ever!

    I've just starting season 9. Thankfully I have a good friend that's familiar with the series and movies and has been an excellent guide thus far. Looking forward to finishing this series and moving on to more movies and possibly the Super series. Probably not surprising but Cell saga has been my favorite and will wait for the Buu saga to conclude before ranking it against the Frieza saga.

    Alternative English Dub for Dragonball Z?

    Hi there, I'm looking for some information on an alternative English dub of the original Dragonball Z series. I have searched, but haven't turned up with anything concrete. When I was young, my uncle managed to acquire some DBZ CDs (I think they were on disc) that had the first bunch of episodes from the series. The voice actors were different to the ones I am aware of (the ones I watched on Cartoon Network as a child in the UK) and it seemed like a more amateur job than the FUNimation version. If I remember correctly, it used the original Japanese theme song as opposed to the English one. There were only episodes up to Raditz I believe.

    I'm just curious because no one I know is aware of these, and I'm trying to prove I'm not crazy.

    Dragonballs in future Trunks timeline

    So in in the timeline of future Trunks the dragonballs don't exist, but wouldn't it be possible to simply take them to the future, wish everyone back to life and get them afterwards back to the present again?

    Or couldn't they sinply wish from Shenglong of the present to revive people on future Trunks timeline?

    Something about the ultra divine water...

    So I'm just rereading the manga and remembered something I theorized about the ultra divine water. When goku drinks it before fighting piccolo it is stated that no one survived it, so it is not known if it actually has the potential to raise once power. But Goku survives and gets a lot stronger so it has to work right? Well maybe it only made him stronger since he's a saiyan and this poison held him in a near death state for several hours, which is known to boost a saiyans power. So is the ultra divine water actually just poison and it is a coincidence that goku got stronger from it because of his heritage? Just something I remembered thinking about a lot when I read the manga the first time about 20 years ago.
