    Best set of Dragon Balls

    Long time lurker, first time poster. Do any of you have any recommendations for the best set of Dragon Ball replicas? I've seen a few online but i want to make sure I'm getting the best quality possible as this will a gift. Thanks in advance.

    Can you believe that DBZ Kai is not available on any website or streaming platform?

    Was watching one of those saga movies of the Saiyan saga on YouTube and figured I'd try to watch names. Looked around and figured out that not even on funimations streaming service can you watch Kai. Its just available on blurays and DVD, and I suppose network TV.

    Really sucks. I think more people preferred Z over Kai but I like the reduced runtime while still getting the meat of the original content.

    How do you guys feel about this and Kai in general?

    Trying to make sense of (almost) every saiyan forms

    First here's a quick graphic I made on paint to help visualize what I'll be talking about. I swear I can draw better than this, kinda. This post is mainly to try and explain the froms that aren't given any explanation as to how they work/are attained and I'll be proposing multiple theories for them as well as trying to explain other transformations I've seen some misconceptions about regardless of the "canonicity" of it all as I'll try to explain it as if they were all part of the same continuity. Feel free to correct anything I might have gotten wrong.

    So I don't think anyone needs an explanation for SS1-3, the Great Apes and the God forms as they're pretty straight forward imo. So here's the fun stuff :

    The Graded forms :

    • Second Grade is first shown by Vegeta against Cell and he calls himself Super Vegeta. It doesn't look that much different from regular Super Saiyan asides from being more bulky and the hair being spikier (and a bit more pale in the anime), it is an increase both in power AND speed (I see a lot of confusion about that one online).

    • Third Grade is first shown by Trunks and is known as Ultra Trunks in the video games (at least I think that's where it first got this name). It's even more bulkier than Second Grade, the hair is spikier and the irises disapear (reapearing again later a bit after transforming). It increases the power outpout even more but at the cost of speed this time. Ultimately those forms are pretty much abandoned as Goku deems them as not the right way to progress Super Saiyan.

    Super Saiyan Rage : First shown by Trunks in the Goku Black arc and an anime only transformation (so far at least) is a bit of a weird one. * Theory number one : It's a pseudo Super Saiyan Blue, trunks being around god ki a lot in this arc subconciously absorbed or tried to immitate it and it gave birth to an imperfect Super Saiyan Blue. His aura while in that state is also very reminescent of SSB but with inverted colors and electricity as well as when first transforming his hair is first shown as very bright blue before reverting to a golden color. * Theory number two : It's a mastered version of the graded forms mentioned above. Goku & co went another route to surpass the limit of Super Saiyan but what if they continued and tried to find a way around the disadvantages of those forms? As to why that would make sense, when transforming in that state the muscles initially bulge (with the same sound effect as for the graded forms) before reverting back to their normal size, though when Trunks walks on the ground his steps are heavy indicating that he may have kept the density of the muscle increase in some way. Also he loses his irises similar to Third Grade and his hair is very similar to that form as well. * Theory number three : The most likely IMO or the one that makes the most sense to me is that it's a bastard form of Third Grade with God Ki. The muscles reverting back to their regular size because Super Saiyan God is shown to slim you down when transforming. And with a mix of reasoning from bothe theories above. * Theory number four : It might just be a "Limit Breaking" form for regular or graded Super Saiyan if those are intended to be a thing going forward (see SSBE, the new SS4 from Heroes and maybe Broly God)

    Super Saiyan Blue Evolution : First shown by Vegeta in the Tournament of Power and the first reference to a "Limit Breaking" form is either a state above regular SSB or SSB's version of a graded form as it's appearance in the anime is more bulkier and the hair seems to be spikier and similar to "Super Vegeta", it's also bluer. In the manga Vegeta attains an equivalent of that form but it doesn't seem to have more muscle mass although from the most recent color cover of volume 13 it does seem to keep that deeper blue color but the hairstyle isn't different from regular SSB and doesn't have the pupils like in the anime.

    The humanoid Oozaru forms :

    • First the Wrathful state taken by Broly in the Super movie is well just that, the power of Oozaru in his human form.

    • Super Saiyan 4 : Attained when a saiyan regains control over being a Golden Oozaru. Basically a Oozaru and Super Saiyan hybrid in human form.

    • Super Full Power Super Saiyan 4 Limit Breaker : First of, man that's a mouthfull, secondly two theories for that one.

    • Theory one : is that it's Super Saiyan 4 with God Ki, it's attained by a kind of ritual when other saiyans are giving their power to another saiyan (like in GT but it's also similar to the SSG ritual), in that case Pan but also SSG Trunks and SSB Goku and Vegeta giving their energy to Xeno Goku and Xeno Vegeta. The logic would be that they'd receive some amount of god ki in the process.

    • Theory two : It's Heroes so what would make the most sense is not necessarily what's happening and it could just be a regular power-up above SS4. As it's a very recent addition to the game we might actually get an explanation for this one.

    Ultra Instinct : Now I already see you telling me it's a technique and not a form and it's not exclusive to saiyans but hear me out. Yes Ultra Instinct is a technique but in the (few) users we've seen so far (Beerus and Angels) only Goku has been seen getting a physical change. As for the reason why is that it wouldn't be a new form for anyone except for saiyans because they're kind of the Eevee of Dragon Ball and their body react to every new source of energy by transforming.

    And finally last but not least,

    The green non-sense :

    • First case, Z Broly : First shown in Movie 8, Broly arbors a unique Super Saiyan form described as the Legendary Super Saiyan. It's huge and very muscular and it's green and his power is maximum. And it kinda drives the user crazy. I never really liked the idea that it's supposed to be the true Super Saiyan of legends so I've always took it as a unique mutation that only few saiyans were born with. It basically works like regular SS but it's bigger and greener, Broly gets Super Saiyan 2, 3, a Green Oozaru, 4 and Broly God (more on that later) in various games and other medias.

      • Kale : Kale is first seen in the Tournament of Power arc and her first transformation is very reminiscent of Z Broly, big, muscular and green. Until she controls the transformation and gains a unique form that is taller and bulkier than her base form and other regular Super Saiyan forms we know but nowhere near her "Berserk"(name comes from the games) state and sports greenish-yellow hair and is known a just Super Saiyan in the games. Later against Goku she enters her Berserk form once more and is once again able to control it which results in another form with the same physique as her Super Saiyan form and spikier and this time completely green hair and which is refered as Super Saiyan 2 in various games. It's different but doesn't necessarily contradicts my theory of it being a mutation.
      • Super Broly : Our loveable killing machine first shows us the Wrathful state as explained above. But then Freeza kills his father and he transforms into a beefy Super Saiyan with regular old golden hair and lacking irises and finally later into the extra large green haired form we all know and love. What's interesting about his, is that in the last few frames of his fight against Gogeta we can see him regain his irises and they're yellow (the same as in his Wrathful State) which makes me think that in his case, his "Full Power" form is a result of his regular Super Saiyan combined with his Wrathful State so basically like a Super Saiyan 4. Which begs the question as to what would differenciate them ? Is it having a tail gives you SS4 and not having one gives you green hair? Is it really a result of regular SS and Oozaru power or still a mutation with the adition of Oozaru power so that his power is even more maximumer? That's the one that kinda throws a wrench into things.
      • Broly God : Probably the most obscure of all (except for maybe SFPSS4LB, man even like this...) as far as I know it is exclusive to a 4D Movie from Universal Studios Japan (and maybe Heroes), hard to explain this one as I haven't seen the movie myself (other than really bad quality cams on youtube) but it's either regular old Z Broly with God Ki somehow or my prefered explanation considering his design, a true Super Saiyan 4 (as in a form above Super Saiyan 3 and not something using Oozaru).

    If you made it this far, thank you very much for reading this wall of text as those are the kind of questions that keep me up at night and even like this I'm still not really satisfied with some of the explanation I came up with and I would very much like some sort of official guide to tranformations (an updated one at least).

    Could King Cold transform like Frieza?

    I'm inclined to think that, yes, he could, but opted not to out of feeling as though there was never a need.

    But maybe I'm wrong in thinking this. As I recall when King Cold and Mecha Frieza came to Earth, they were noted as being equal in strength. So, if Cold could transform, he'd be stronger in comparison to his son.

    Ultimately I know this will be something never answered, but what are your thoughts on the subject?

    Plothole in recent DBZ regarding hiding your power level.

    When Vegeta and Nappa get to earth, they soon realise that they shouldn't trust the Z fighters because they can hide their true power.

    Vegeta is even more suprised when his theory is confirmed when Gohans power jumped to arrive 900 to 2,800 when he tried to launch an attack to kill Nappa.

    However, when Vegeta fights Goku not too long after, he has the upper hand even when Goku uses Kaioken, which multiplies your power by 1.5. of that's the case then that puts Vegeta around 12,000 or higher when they first fight. Then after Goku uses his Kaioken Vegeta then decides to use his true power, which is when he powers up and causes the electricity and high wind and then charges to 18,000.

    How is Vegeta able to power up? He was surprised that the earthlings could do it, however he also could do it?

    Unless Vegeta and Nappa could only jump from one power to another without anything in between, so in Vegetas sake it's 12k to 18k, and Nappa is 4k to 8k.

    Whilst the earthlings could essentially go from 0 to 5 to 73 to 298 etc.
