    SSJ2 to me is actually the best transformation design in all the series

    I keep seeing the SSJ2 being regarded as the worst transformation because it "changed so little" and that it was lame compared to other more "flashy" and dramatic ones, and difficult to distinguish from SSJ1.

    Even as a kid watching the series I easily could tell it apart from first one and was remembered of how people being struck by lightning are portrayed.

    First SSJ looked like someone "enlightened" with all the flowy firey aura and stuff.

    Second SSJ looked like that first guy suddenly raised his voltage/energy so much that sparks came out of their body and their hair got straighter/stiffer, with less locks hanging in characters that had hanging bits of hair, (as I said, like someone struck by lightning). Those designs were so straightforward, easy to understand and really visually reflected what these transformations were doing to the users.

    Super saiyan 3 was stupid due to hair magically getting short and eyebrows growing again when reverting back, unlike SSJ1-SSJ2 that as a kid I could easily justify the changes in appearance with "elevated state" and "tons of energy coursing trough body like when someone sticks fingers in electric outlet" instead of "hair and eyebrows magically grow/dissapear" which seemed more like sorcery/magic stuff than some dude powering up energy.

    Sure, speaking about stage 1, someone would have to wait for months until hair grew black again and eyes regained melanin if you got rid of the coloration, but still were more believable and descriptive of whats going on (hair going light/white remembered me about people undergoing strong emotional/trauma episodes getting white hair locks, like what was required for SSJ1). This bit is why I see 2 as the best of all the designs.

    All the further designs in GT and Super made even less sense and were more stupid.

    The scene where Trunks tries to punch Goku after escaping the future and mistakes him for goku black is underrated.

    That scene was amazing, he barely escapes and sees his mother die. He manages to escape to our present timeline.

    He then wakes up and sees a person that looks nearly identical to the person that killed his mother and immediately tries to punch him,but since goku is stronger he managed to block it while being so confused. Everyone was confused and trunks was just filled with anger in that scene!

    The music and the narrator made it even better!

    I mean, it's the same shield that 2 minutes ago tanked a Majin Buu's energy blast, which left a SSJ2 Vegeta that just took a Senzu Bean on the brink of death in one single hit. How could Piccolo pierce trough it so easily? Was it because of his attack being partly physical?

    Focusing Solely on Goku's Character, Super should precede Z

    Ignoring stuff like power, abilities, character labels and other contextual things it would make more sense for Super to have come before Z. The story of Dragon Ball has always flowed through Goku and the reason why Super is so different feeling is because Goku is so different from his Z personality. He feels far more similar to how he was as a child in Dragon Ball. Let me explain.

    Dragon Ball and Super both center around Goku brining the trouble to us, he's a no-name (to Earth in DB, to the multiverse in Super) who has the disposition and ability to shake things up. This is different from other fantasy/sci-fi stories where the main character is normally a fish out of water - a nobody thrust into something based on circumstance - think Luke Skywalker in A New Hope. He's just a farm boy in a world that exists without his involvement. Goku is not that to Dragon Ball, he's a nobody out to cause a stir - adventuring just because. He brings the action to us, his enemies are obstacles on his journey. In Super Goku isn't satisfied with his life after Buu and consistently runs away from life to meddle with Godly matters that should be over his head, the trouble is usually his fault. In Dragon Ball Goku is a superhuman boy thrust into adventures centered around him growing in strength and ability.

    Z is different from these 2 however. Goku is not seeking out trouble in Z, he's basically retired after the defeat of Piccolo. All of his goals have been realized and he's become the strongest on Earth, trouble finds him and calls him back into action in a series of events that see Goku in the role of a protector rather than an adventurer. He's called to action against the Saiyans, the Androids and Buu. That's not the case for the events of Super besides Zamasu.

    So it would make sense that this part of Goku's life would take place after Super. For him to be done adventuring, after all those years.

    Gohan is more of a fighter than people say.

    Despite what fans and super would have you believe, Gohan is as much of a fight if not more than he is a scholar. With the exception of the cell arc, throughout all of Z, Gohan consistently chooses to fight and show off his strength regardless of if someone tells him to or if the world is in danger

    Piccolo tells Gohan he can leave and Gohan decides not to (Vegeta stopping Gohan from leaveing is anime filler.)

    Gohan decides to fight with Goku even though Krillin was telling him not to.

    Gohan decides to go to Namak despite the fact that no one tells him to go and his mom tells him not to go. Gohan also makes sure to say that he can fight for himself.

    Gohan was the last one standing in the fight with Recome, notice how he doesn't say he's doing it to protect his friends, he says he won't be beaten and that he'll never quit.

    Gohan is the first to attack second, third, and fourth form Freiza. Krillin and Piccolo get attacked by those forms, but they don't fight back.

    Gohan is the only character to ever fight 3rd form Freiza.

    Gohan leaves school to fight crime, when Videl is already doing that same exact thing.

    Gohan says that it's his turn to fight when dabura tells the sayians to all attack him

    Gohan isn't even a super sayian when he says he's going to kill super Buu, he wasn't even angry when he said it, Gohan simply stated his intent.

    Since the boo saga dragon ball isnt the same, boo saga, gt and super, garbage to me, but at least Boo was a great villain and we had SSJ3, but the way the cartoon was developing sucked, until the Cell Saga the cartoon was more adult, Boo saga and head it was too for kids.
