    Am I the only one who noticed that in the last three films of the Android/ Cell saga the main villains of each of those movies were the same?

    In the movies Super Android 13, Broly- The Legendary Super Saiyan and Bojack Unbound all the main villains are built similar. All of them are the title character in the English release, all of them are built like the Hulk in different colors and are some kind of super saiyan, all of them are super sadistic and they all overpowered the protagonists and were defeated after the protagonist gains a huge power up. And both Bojack and Broly killed their own allies, while red ribbon redneck with trucker hat benefitted from his allies deaths.

    Dragon Ball alternative storyline with less absurd events

    Hi,

    Today I'm suggesting an alternative story development for Dragon Ball.

    ​

    The first stupid event is...well...Master Roshi blowing up the moon...with his weak kamehameha. So, he cut Goku's tail and doesn't blow up the moon. He still ensures Goku won't transform into a giant gorilla destroying everything by...actually telling him later that he has this power in him.

    So, Goku's life doesn't change much, except now, he knows that he mustn't look at the full moon.

    After the fight against Piccolo Jr, he actually spends time connecting with his inner monkey power and learns how to control it. He trains for real with his wife and starts training Gohan since Chi Chi won't be a mother hen (she was killing dudes with a cutting boomerang when she was a child herself, after all). She still wants Gohan to get normal classes with a private teacher but she doesn't get in the way of his training. It's a martial arts family.

    Radditz arrives, Piccolo is stronger since he trained for real but still has the chills when he senses Radditz' power. The bad bro finds his good bro and tries to bend him into joining the Saiyan, but Gohan has a base of around 140 power, going up to 2k when mad, Goku has had sparring partners so he could train his skills as well as his power and his control over his Saiyan power and Chi Chi is about as strong as vanilla Piccolo Jr with his weights on at this point. Radditz gets beaten and Piccolo witnessed everything. Radditz doesn't die since Goku was able to beat him even though it was hard.

    The Saiyans are coming since they heard everything and want more manpower to take down that planet Radditz talks about in the manga (which is more likely an excuse for gathering and striking Frieza).

    The Z-fighters, Gohan, Chi Chi, Piccolo and Goku train together and actually gain some real power up in a few months. Goku then senses they won't be able to beat the Saiyans with that growing pace. He looks for Radditz and asks him how strong the others are. Radditz tells him Nappa is nearly 4x stronger than he is and Vegeta is nearly 4x stronger than Nappa. He also tells him the Saiyans grew in hostile conditions with a habit of fighting under a much higher gravity than Earth's.

    Goku offers Radditz to join them and train to beat them, since they're brothers, they can build the bond they couldn't before, and Radditz first refuses. He tells the Z-fighters and Roshi about and time chamber and they go train inside with mommy and son except Roshi declines. Bulma goes to visit Roshi expecting to see Yamcha, and Roshi tells her about the time chamber and high gravity training. Thus, Bulma starts building a high gravity room.

    Radditz, who knows about Roshi's place, finds him and asks for Goku since he now wants to train to beat Nappa and Vegeta who always looked down on him. He witnesses the dialog between Bulma and Roshi and shows Bulma his space pod and his armor, in order for her to be able to work with new materials and technology and learn to optimize what she can do with the available ressources.

    After half a day each in the time chamber (6 months inside), the gang gets back to Roshi and learn about the new room Bulma is trying to build. Goku and Radditz have a talk, Radditz spits out his despise for the other Saiyans, tells Goku about how they were basically Frieza's slaves and he wants to regain his freedom but he can't be free as long as the Cold galactic empire lives. One day or another, they'll find him and kill him if he doesn't follow their orders. Goku is willing to help him free himself from Frieza after beating the Saiyans up to their reason.

    While Bulma builds the special training room, everyone trains together in different places, getting used to fighting in different places with different climate. Goku trains Radditz and Gohan to control their inner power (the monkey) and then they start transforming and learn how to keep control when in the form each full moon. Radditz doesn't tell them about the secret technique of the airball to create a fake moon because he wants to keep a card under his sleeve.

    After 3 months, Bulma, who had access to alien spacial technology, has built the special training room. It can multiply the gravity up to 5x for now, but Radditz tells her that won't be enough and they will need at least 10x to become strong enough.

    Now not only Goku, but everyone has permanent access to the gravity room 24/7. This is a huuuge boost to their training, since after 4 months they all have access to half of Kaiyo's planet's level of gravity for daily training instead of just training with 1x gravity. During their training, Bulma and her father gather their forces to build a second room with 10x gravity as the max.

    After 2 months, by using Bulma's experience on the 1st gravity room, they achieve their goal, the 10x gravity room. Everyone progressively changes back and forth from the 10x room, since it's exhausting to stay in there for too long. After 2 weeks, their bodies have adapted and they can fully train in the 10x gravity room. So, now, instead of needing time to adapt to 10x gravity once Goku reached Kaiyo's planet, he's already used to it as is everyone else, and it's at the same time that Goku should have reached Kaiyo's planet in vanilla. So we have 5 Z-fighters, Piccolo, Chi Chi, Gohan, Goku and Radditz able to withstand a 10x gravity body and combat training 6 months more or less before the Saiyans land on Earth.

    They train their bodies, their skills and share some techniques with each other in order to become better fighters. Instead of training with Kaiyo and learning Kaiyoken, Goku trains with his mates, making everyone but himself better, and instead of wasting time training his body to withstand Kaiyoken, he trains fighting with people who spent their whole lives fighting.

    2 months before the Saiyans' landing (4 months after the 10x gravity room was made), they start taking a 2 weeks break in order for their bodies to fully rest and to stop fatigue accumulation. That's when Radditz, following a Youtuber's what if? meets Lunch (I don't like the English name Launch) and starts finding an interest in planet Earth.

    Now there are 6 weeks remaining before Vegeta and Nappa land. Our heroes take turns for quarter-days in the time chamber in order to maximize their training, a quarter day being 3 months inside. They need a week worth of rest after going in there since the all white landscape tends to drive them crazy. Then they go back in, rest again. 1 month before the Saiyans land.

    They get back to normal training with 10x gravity for 2 weeks, take a weekend and finish their training outside the gravity room. They have monstrously improved over the past year, especially with a total of 1 year inside the time chamber, half of it before the gravity room was built and the other half afterwards.

    Chiaozu is somewhere around 2500 k power according to Radditz' force calucaltor, Yamcha and Yajirobe are around 3k, Krilin around 3.5k, Chi Chi, who has trained with Goku for the whole 5 years gap and was around 320 before Radditz landed is sitting at a strong 5k, she can fight Nappa on equal terms now. Gohan is at 9k with Piccolo, but when he gets angry he can reach 20k, Radditz, who was the strongest after Goku before everyone trained and who's got Saiyan blood is sitting at 16k, and Goku, who had so many fighters to train with, sits at 19k. Not having to waste his time training for the Kaiyoken really left him with so much time to train his physical abilities and his control over the monkey improved, now he controls it as well as Vegeta.

    The Saiyans land. Oh, surprize! Nappa is completely obsolete. Just by looking at power levels with the power detector, he sees Gohan and Piccolo at 5k (out of combat), Radditz at 7k and Goku at 9k. They think Vegeta can handle them, but Chi Chi works in a team with the Earthborn Z-fighters and annihilate Nappa, who tries to unchain a secret card but gets killed by Vegeta, who doesn't want to get dirty from the blow. You now understand I don't like Nappa, he's too simple minded and typical grunt for me, there's no way he can become good.

    Vegeta gets ready to fight Radditz, who committed treason, but he soon realizes their power difference is much lower than he thought. He goes all out and Radditz beats the dust, but not without injuring Vegeta. Since Radditz mokes Vegeta by telling him Goku is stronger than both of them, Vegeta creates the fake moon in despair. Gohan, Radditz and Goku all turn into monkeys at the same time Vegeta does, and he understands his mistake too late. Gohan still has some difficulties to keep control, so he goes all in and both him and Vegeta take damage. Radditz catches Gohan in order not to let him get himself killed. Goku steps in and gives a senzu to Vegeta, because Goku is dumb. Now they fight on equal terms, exactly what he expected. They end up completely beaten, but Radditz knocks Vegeta out.

    Everyone gets healed up, Vegeta explains Piccolo where he came from and he tells him Namek fighters are very strong, so Piccolo wants to go to Namek. Since they casually talk about the dragon balls, Vegeta understands that, if he wants to get immortality to beat Frieza and become the best in the universe, he'll have to go to Namek too. Nappa's space pod blew up with his stupid "Hello!", so there are very few spaceships avilable. Radditz' pod, Goku's pod that was found by Mr. Popo and soon Bulma will make her own, because Radditz told them that they had to travel in space in order to fight Frieza and since he can probably blow up a planet, better fight somewhere else than Earth, he doesn't want Chi Chi and Lunch to get caught in the titanesque fight against the tyrant.

    Vegeta leaves in his space pod before being caught, Piccolo leaves in Radditz' space pod and Bulma builds her own, while Mr. Popo reveals he found Goku's spaceship. Bulma's father repairs it and adds the 20x gravity he's been working on for 6 months, meanwhile Krilin, Tenshinhan and Yamcha take the no-gravity option Bulma spaceship. She teaches them how to pilot it and let them follow Piccolo on Namek.

    On Namek:

    Once they reach Namek, Vegeta has already started his race for the Dragon Balls and rioting against Frieza's forces. He's much stronger than in vanilla since he got 2 zenkai boosts from the fights on Earth instead of 1. He's sitting around 25k since he doesn't train. His humiliation, however, makes him even more willing to give his everything to get his dragon ball wish.

    When the Z-fighters on Namek understand they can't just do some sight-seeing, they tell Goku and Gohan to come fast and get done with the madness happening on this planet. Tenshinhan, Yamcha and Krilin get the power up from the Namek chief, Piccolo gets the power up and gets to fuse with Nail before Frieza finds the chief since they want to prevent him from getting the dragon balls and Piccolo wants to beat Frieza up. Since Nail had 40k power in vanilla and Piccolo has somewhere around 15k from awakening his potential (instead of vanilla 3k), they get somewhere around Frieza's 3rd form power.

    Vegeta's riot still makes Frieza call the Ginue Commando. Piccolo defeats Vegeta who seeks for the last dragon ball in the chief's house. Then he takes out the Ginue commando by himself, trains the Z-fighters who are sitting around 5-6k power in order to be more than fodder, but he knows they won't be of much use against Frieza anyway. He hides the dragon balls again so neither Vegeta nor Frieza can find them, since they don't have any detector.

    Gohan, Radditz and Goku land on Namek, Tenshinhan tells them about the chief's power to awaken one's hidden potential. With some intensive 20G training together, Gohan reached 50k power, Radditz 90k and Goku 130. Gohan is slowly catching up! They get awakened and now Gohan reaches 120, Radditz 140 and Goku 200k. Piccolo refuses to tell them where he hid the dragon balls, Frieza finds the chief and kills him before he gets him to reveal the truth. Nail was saved by Piccolo instead of Gohan and is decently loyal towards him.

    Since Vegeta blew up the power detectors, Frieza can't find them. They take their time playing hide and seek with Frieza while taking turns in Goku's sapceship to train at 20G. With Nail healing them each time they get in danger zone, they get many Zenkai boosts.

    To stay loyal to the information from the manga, Frieza told Nail that his power level was 500k but he had to transform in order to control it. So, with their training, Vegeta who accepted to train with them reaches 200k, Piccolo reaches 250k, Gohan 280k, Radditz 300k and Goku 350k. Yamcha reaches 15k, Krilin 20k and Tenshinhan 30k. Human limits are still a thing, but at least they're decent now, actually better than 1st appearance Vegeta.

    Power levels will also be much more accurate than the absurd ones going out of control in the anime and so on, since we have a precise power level for Frieza (which is obviously a bit under his 100% form but still better than going from 500k to several millions out of nowhere).

    Now that they're strong enough, our people will go face Frieza. Vegeta and Piccolo fight against each other to decide which one will fight first. Vegeta looses, but since Nail had time to get used to him, he doesn't refuse to heal the Prince of Saiyans, who gets the zenkai boost and is now equal to Piccolo's power level of 250k. Still Piccolo gets the 1st turn. He forces Frieza into 3rd form, they fight on equal terms and Piccolo gets beaten when Frieza uses his final form.

    Vegeta takes his turn, gets disposed of and Frieza reveals himthat he killed the Saiyans and destroyed their planet. Radditz gets angry since he knew his parents and gets all out against Frieza, he even creates a fake moon to transform into a giant monkey. He still gets kicked and defeated after a few rounds. Gohan, who had more time to grow with Radditz, gets angry and berserks in monkey mode, pretty much kicking Frieza to the ground, but the tyrant unleashes his 100% power and defeats Gohan. He spots Nail who was healing the fighters back to health and kills him, he also severely injures Piccolo, since he's the only one who can self-heal. Goku gets angry and goes Super Saiyan in Monkey form, his fur becoming golden.

    Since he can't control this much power, he starts going rampage and the Z-fighters and Radditz retreat and ask Bulma to resurrect the Nameks so they can use Namek's stronger Dragon Balls to teleport everyone to Earth. Frieza destroys the fake moon and everyone gets teleported to Earth, but Goku refuses after regaining his reason. The rest of the fight goes the same way as it went in vanilla.

    Back to Earth:

    Chi Chi hasn't been slacking off while the others were fighting. She trained with Chaozu, Yajirobe and even started training Lunch, who doesn't want to be a weakling since Radditz is so strong. Chi Chi reaches 15k when everyone teleports back from Namek, Chiaozu 10k (since most of his powers are mind-related, he'll always be weaker in measurable power, but now his telepathy range has increased a lot, he can talk to someone at the other side of the planet, he can easily toss Chi Chi around like a plaything and his eyes lazers are very powerful) and Lunch 1.2k, like the Saibaimen.

    Gohan and Radditz have reached 350k while Vegeta and Piccolo are stuck at 250k for now. The Earth-friendly Saiyans and Piccolo resume training, Vegeta asks Bulma for a 30G room and the Z-fighters, Chi Chi and Lunch start training together. Chi Chi also trains a bit with her son and Lunch with Radditz, so they get to progress faster than your average Z-fighter.

    One year later, Frieza lands on Earth, sorry Future Trunks fans, but since now we have 3 super Saiyans on Earth, there's no need for Trunks (also the Cyborgs will have much stronger opponents). Vegeta kills Frieza and Radditz takes care of Cold. This allows them to get boosted up to Gohan's current power level, so they remain up to date.

    They don't know about the cyborgs, but who cares? Everyone's been training for the whole time now. Chi Chi reaches 150k alongside Tenshinhan, Krilin has stopped training because he wanted to explore the joys of life under Yamcha's teachings, Chaozu has reached 50k but his psychic powers are becoming really amazing, now he can freeze Piccolo's 400k powerlevel for several seconds and he can communicate with any living being up to the Moon (not that anything lives there but...better than nothing I guess). He can also create a coordinated thinking with 10 people at once for 10 minutes.

    Super Saiyan Vegeta has reached 1M, Radditz 1.1M and Gohan 1.2M, while their normal power is 600k, 620K and 640K. This way, normal form power further boosts super Saiyan power and makes up for their normal form's pace slowing down as technology needs to follow. Goku has reached 1.3M and teached teleportation to Gohan and Radditz.

    On the side, Trunks and Soba (Radditz and Lunch's daughter since there are only guys in vanilla gen 2 Saiyans, since Gohan is rice, Radditz' daughter is named after buckwheat-made pasta, also since I'm French, in French pasta is feminine while rice is masculine, giving one more reason to make his child a girl) are born with a 3 month difference. Since Radditz already had a bond with Lunch, she got pregnant before Bulma, and this wasn't accidental like one could think about Trunks.

    Since Frieza was so strong, Krilin taught everyone (except Vegeta who was training by himself) how to use Kienzan, which could have ended the fight easily if some of the best fighters could use it against Frieza.

    During the fight against the androids, Goku dies of a heart attack due to his illness not being cured, but Goten was already in Chi Chi's belly. The others manage to survive the fight with the 17 and 18 and 16 doesn't take part in it after Goku died. Gohan and Radditz managed to fight decently in SSM (super Saiyan monkey) but without being able to keep control over their monkey form since they needed to be angry to use SS1. Vegeta got beaten up by 18 like in the manga but with a better fight and couldn't transform into a monkey since he was K.O.

    Since Krilin talked about resurrecting Goku with the Dragon Balls, the androids spared them so they could have a chance to kill him with their own hands.

    Piccolo fuses with the Almighty one, reaching 1.8M. He's stronger than 17 now and can fight evenly with 16, but still not good enough to beat half perfect Cell.

    With all the devices they have access to, Piccolo has the amazing idea of crafting a 40G room INSIDE the time-space chamber. This way, they get much stronger before the Cell games. Goku get revived and no zenkai boost for him because he died from illness.

    Now, Vegeta trains with Radditz in the time chamber, since Goku goes in with his son and Vegeta can't get over with the fact Radditz the Weak got stronger than him before lading on Namek and remained stronger throughout the story, pretty much like in the Youtuber's video I mentionned earlier. With that setup, Vegeta becomes stronger than with Trunks (who was weaker than Goku and cyborgs Vegeta to begin with) and the 40G room inside the time chamber pretty much blew up the power progression and Goku and Gohan became even stronger.

    Since Gohan can now control his anger and stay in SS1 like Goku, they trained their ability to keep control over their SSM form, completely mastering their saiyan abilities.

    Goku dies because Cell had gotten stronger when punctionning Piccolo's strength earlier. Gohan goes SSM2 and blows up Cell with a monkey mouth beam.

    Goku can't be resurrected for now since he just got revived a few Earth days ago.

    Soba and Trunks are trained by their dads early, Soba already flying before she could walk on her legs. They master the SS1 at the age of 5 and Goten is trained by his mom and brother early so he learns the SS1 about the same time as Trunks, only he's more than 1 year younger. The late 2nd gen saiyans don't have the absurd potential Gohan has and the angry factor, but instead they have a much earlier bloom than him, letting them reach the edge of SS2 when the Martial Arts Tournament starts. Gohan's level now is pretty much as high as Goku's SS3.

    Soba, with all the early advantages she had, could benefit a lot from looking up to the adults. She's Radditz' child, so she's less emotional and more clever, she puts tricks over power and tries to find out her opponents' strengths and weaknesses to always come out ahead. Trunks is as strong as Gohan before unlocking SS2 in this alternative storyline and Goten is weaker because his body is still one year younger but otherwise he's as good as Trunks, just more simple-minded and naive.

    The Buu arc is pretty similar except the Gotenks part, since the kids are much stronger and there's another potential fusion if Soba fuses with Gotenks since they're of the same bloodline, it might be better, just like Goku and Gohan's potala fusion would have been amazing.

    Radditz plays a secondary role since he has no one to fuse with, but he instead of Goku beating Buu alone with a Genkidama, when Vegeta and Goku get out of Buu's body, Vegeta earns some time for Goku and Radditz to make the non-potala fusion. Radditz wants to destroy Buu for absorbing his daughter, so the fusion is pretty dope, also bloodline fusion. Godditz gets into SSM2 and completely blasts Buu out of existence with a monkey mouth beam before the fusion collapses due to using an overpowered form and move.
