    A masterpiece of db

    Posted: 09 Sep 2021 04:28 PM PDT

When I first watched dbs it felt like a masterpiece. Second time was the same. When I saw people pointing out the animation errors, I started noticing them. I didn't notice the errors at all the first time I watched because I didn't care about animation errors. I was trying to enjoy the show, not observe it. Dbs is perfect the way it is.

anyone else bothered by Goku’s English voice actor during monologues? (Frieza and Saiyan arc)

    Posted: 09 Sep 2021 08:20 PM PDT

Goku's monologues are considerably more cheesy than those of other characters and I think it comes down to the voice actors. All of Frieza's monologues for instance are really enerertaining and engrossing but O often find my self cringing during Goku's. Sometimes he's good, but when he tries to be all serious it sounds kind of dumb. And it isn't just the writing, every other character has some pretty bad lines that the voice actors do Justice to.

Think about if it wasn't for him cell would've won and it was thanks to him that goku charged the genkidama he was in the god ritual saved goku from frieza and was a crucial player in the Moro.im not saying that he shouldn't win himself it's just something to sooth the pain of watching him lose too many times

Would the (actual) continuation of Z be better than Super?

    Posted: 09 Sep 2021 04:48 PM PDT

Ik our beloved spiky haired saiyan hillbilly is the icon of the franchise, but when there was news about DBS being released I seriously thought it was going to be something focused on the kids (Goten and Trunks living their fathers' legacy). I also thought the plot would be an actual continuation of Z regarding the character development and such. Instead we got Super, a show that I believe was only a show that mostly only followed the events of Z (Plainly put they just followed the timeline aspect). Then I thought about how successful DBS was as UI goku broke the internet, and DBS Broly broke records, would this show have "died" had it went with the idea I proposed above? Or did we miss out on something greater?

Did the Saiyans forget they could turn others into gods ir?

    Posted: 09 Sep 2021 03:50 PM PDT

I really hope this isn't a spoiler for anyone, but I have a legitimate question. I am watching Dragon Ball Super for the first time and Shenron just told them how 5 Saiyans can make a 6th Saiyan a god. If people knew that this could happen, why didn't the Saiyans? Could this not have prevented the ENTIRE destruction of their peoples? Or is it that there was so little view righteous Saiyans that they just couldn't.

You can rewrite the series to only have SSJ1, 2, LSSJ/BSSJ, UIO, CUI, and Ultra Ego for saiyans, how would you go about it? You can rewrite as much as you want! Only rule is no single saiyan can have more than three (yes just three) of those choices.

    Posted: 09 Sep 2021 07:26 PM PDT

Extra forms such as the grade forms are fair game. So is gohan's mystic form, great ape, kaioken, spirit bomb infused forms, and saiyan beyond god (are whatever extension of ssj beyond god you want to make up) nd aren't included in the 3 transformations limit. You can choose to include or exclude any of all of this if you wish, including the ones I said in the title.

I would personally have Goku only have SSJ1 in the buu saga and use kaioken in the buu saga and use the saiyan saga limits of kk but also up to x5. Vegeta will have only SSJ and will be equal to Goku and then definitely stronger than Goku when on the same form since becoming Majin. Majin Vegeta SSJ1 is substantially greater than late kid Gohans SSJ2 while Goku's is slightly weaker. Only half humans can extend their body to such a degree that they can have SSJ2 (based on the idea that Vegeta said something about half saiyans having more power back in the Saiyan saga). Vegeta keeps his Majin after death. Goku and Vegeta would use Gogeta (who would have their abilities and pl added together) against Buu and pretty much same thing will happen. Buu is scaled down where the results pretty much end up the same without being exponently stronger. Goten and Trunks individually will become equal strength to Goku's base SSJ (which isn't much of an issue since half saiyans are noted to be quite the powerful combination) while only being able to go SSJ2 as Gotenks. Mystic Gohan is equal in strength to SSJ2 Gotenks. Buu only absorbs Gotenks and knocks out Gohan (to keep power scaling down a bit). Same thing pretty much after that except Vegeta earns the removal of his Majin fighting against Kid Buu (lots of rooms for rewrites but i'll be going a bit off-topic).

Come Beerus and he'll be searching a mortal that can challenge a G.O.D. (not "Super Saiyan God" specifically). Instead of SSG, Goku and Vegeta uses the potara fusion which while more powerful (adds a 10x powerboost due to RIVAL BONUS on top of everything Gogeta can do), it is actually permanent for everyone and only the super dragon balls can separate a fused warrior of this callibre (not even forced spirit fission can do it). This is the Z-fighters only hope of challenging Beerus. Same events happen as if it was SSG Goku vs. Beerus. But instead of just leaving, Whis or Beerus (whichever one offers, doesn't matter) to take Vegito in for training due to his sportsmanship and how far he was willing to go and for just being an incredibly impressive mortal. Vegito trains off at Whis world, Golden Frieza comes and challenges Earth, Vegito never comes but instead Earth has to defend it's self (like Goku said at the buu saga), it actually CAN do it with a weaker Gohan and weaker Gotenks, Majin Buu, Tienccolo, Android 18 and maybe 17 so he's less random when he appears latter. This is what motivates Gohan/Gotenks into training seriously as it was TOO close of a call.

Champa's whole plot with their Earth being destroyed isn't existent (or maybe their food is just wack, i don't really care the reason), neither is Monaka. U7 has Vegito, Gohan, Piccolo, Majin Buu (sleeping is not an issue, STOP doing that writers!!!), Tien (no Gotenks as fusion during the tournament is NOT allowed, if your fused beforehand and stay fused for the whole time duration then that's cool). Have Majin Buu take on Botomo and win, then loose to Magetta (somehow, maybe through being disqualified?), then Gohan take Magetta and win, then take on Frost and looses to cheating then comes piccolo who comes much closer to winning but loses in a suspicious way and frost is disqualifyed (personally i wouldn't make him bad just dishonorable, also frost should have been the one who made the slightly taller joke wish in someway). Gohan than takes on Cabba, make it a saiyan moment. Preferably Gohan tries to steer Cabba into the Mystic form which is something he can teach somewhat else about it in his training after Golden Frieza. (I would think it's cool if Caulifla already had SSJ, and their hierachy is based on the belief that only the gifted can turn SSJ and the less fortunate such as Cabba can't even though U7 proves anyone can. Maybe Cabba is much stronger than Caulifla in base while still weaker with Caulifla in SSJ). After that is honestly whatever is most interesting there, if Gohan advances then he loses to Hit, if Cabba advances (either through Cabba winning straight up or Gohan forfeiting, again whatever is most interesting), he looses to Piccolo, hell both Gohan and Cabba can lose, then comes Hit. With each contestant Hit gets closer to losing but ultimately still wins. If Gohan makes it, he gets mowed down but it makes Piccolo more familiar with Hit. Piccolo can do the thing with stretchy arms and multiform and maybe tear his arms off and try to catch Hit offguard catching him by surprise but Hit still wins. Now comes Vegito! The big guns are out! Vegito can't actually use SSJ/Kaioken but he's been practicing Saiyan Beyond God (not really a form as it is just a saiyan trying to get used to God ki). Vegito has Hit figured out like Goku in the original. My idea of it is Vegito is very new to it but he can temporarily tap into chunks of a max percentage however higher the chunk, the more LEAKS out so he has to optimize his God ki. Hit can't actually sense Vegito as he uses God ki now with SBG which makes things a bit harder for him but nothing he can't handle. Vegito knows he can't sense him so he uses that to his advantage. Vegito definitely has the power and speed advantage but his ki is very fragile to Hit's hits and with each strike, a splash of God Ki leeks so Vegito has to be careful with each strike. Hit then reveils that he may have the ability to up his timeskip (0.05 to 0.1, 0.15, 0.2, 0.25) which forces Vegtio to increase the cap of his god ki he can use at a time, a bit to his discomfort. After a long drawn out fight with Instant Transmission, afterimages, hiding, long range attacks, the ring things Vegeta used on Goku, using debris to their advantage, and the (big bang) kamehameha torpedos Goku used on Frieza, etc, Vegito tries to finish the Job with what he has left with a final kamehameha. Hit just narrowly avoids it revealing he has a pocket time storing ability. Both Hit and especially Vegito are tapped out of energy and Vegito forfeits for the same reason Goku does in the original. With their strongest fighter now out and exhausted (maybe Vegito gets the same ki desync thing Goku had with kaioken that's not too dissimilar to initial SSG Goku against Beerus in the anime adaption), Beerus has lost faith in Universe 7 and Champa feels he has this in the bag. Vegito then points out that they still have Tien left. (MAJOR Tien wank in spoiler, don't click if you don't want it! The jist of it is Tien and Hit have a very close fight not and ends with Tien just barely outsmarting Hit in a legit way and earns everyone's respect and wins the tournament). Beerus then begrudgingly sends Tien on his way. Admittedly the weakest of the bunch in his universe, Tien gets ready to take on Hit with lots of caution. Tien comes on the stage with few new tricks up his sleeve that he won't reveal Whis points out what everyone is thinking with Hit still being really exhausted and hurt from Vegito that Tien may have a chance. Tien and Hit then have a little exchange before the round starts, both already having a strong mutual respect for each other with Hit for a reason he can't exactly explain why. Tien brings up the fact that Hit is an assassin to which he then on adds that he also was once before changing his ways long ago in coincidently a tournament to which Hit makes acknowledge of his words and notes that it all makes sense now. The match then starts off, and Tien fakes strikes Hit with an afterimage then immediately follows it with a real strike that misses. Hit then tries to strike Tien with timeskip yet somehow Tien manages to dodge before he's in the position to get hit. Tien grows an extra pair of arms to make full effect of blocking and catching/redirecting every attack from Hit. This goes on for quite a while and leaves the entire cast dumbfounded as to how Hit is dodging such a technique that has also been improved on since it's original version. Tien reveals that he's been connecting with his spiritual and physical self and now has the ability to "read what his opponent is about to do" with his third eye, something that is especially crucial for a fight like this. Hit responds that it wasn't the best move to reveal his secret and reveals one less technique for this tournament that allows his to turn invisible. This throws Tien's reading ability completely out of wack and allows hit to get some hits in. Normally this wouldn't be much of an issue due to ki sensing but Hit suppresses his ki prior to striking at full force but it's surprisingly effective Back to a corner Tien results into a solar flare revealing Hit in full sight and blinding him too! Tien then fakes attack Hit accurately expecting him to dodging then swings accordingly. Eventually Hit recovers but is now trying his hardest to maximize his use of his pocket dimension and sneaking up from behind and sides. This is an issue as he's not attacking straightforward. Eventually attacks start coming at every angle and Tien realizes he's too much of a target as one person with not enough perspective so he releases an aoe and creates dust all around and then splits into 4 beings once the dust clears. At first Hit thinks it's another trick like the after image technique but he soon catches on once they all start charging to attack. While multiform does split the power, the skill and form remains at a peak leading to Hit easily getting overwhelmed. Tien knows that each individual form of him is too weaker to do much but tries to work Hit down as he gets ready to preform a single effective neo tri beam that can take Hit out along with the rest of the arena. Tien has one clone prepare it as three are keeping Hit somewhat at bay but are starting to get significantly overpowered it. Tien's clones are then send back at him and is struck multiple times by Hit who is coming closer and closer to striking Tien off and right before he does much to Champa admiration, Tien analysis Hit's timeskip form each time he was striking him and perfectly times a timeskip of his own and catches everyone off guard especially Hit and hears Tien yelling kikiho and precedes to get blasted right off the arena with Tien's last ditch effort leaving him completely exhausted. Tien is then declared the winner and earns the respect of Beerus and interest of Whis as well. Him and Hit meet one last time with Hit congratulating him in that he's never been defeated before and was wondering how he used the time skip. Tien explains that a new skill he learns (or already knew, not sure if that's how it worked), was the ability to perfectly copy a technique at least once and used it on him when he least expected it. The two fighters then wish each other way until they meet again for a rematch. After Tien winning much of the story ends the same as the original, however instead the wish is used to separate all recently potara fused characters so that Vegito becomes Goku and Vegeta and same for Kibito and Supreme Kai (which is a shame as I much preferred Kibito Kai as one character). A couple gags at how Goku and Vegeta say they will never fuse again despite being ok when as Vegito and it pretty much leads to Goku and Vegeta and maybe Tien training with Whis and Beerus like usual while Piccolo and Gohan and goten/trunks training together on each and so on. The z-fighters then goes on to continue training their God ki on Beerus planet (though still can't transform with it). A rewrite of the Potufu arc is copy Vegeta and copy Goku comes to Earth and the more Vegeta and Goku ceases to exist, the more their copies becomes real and becomes Vegeta. Instead of Goku, the Z-fighters collectively had to fight Vegeta and you find out that none of the God Ki was copied but Vegeta's base is still so high naturally from training and can use SSJ normally (kaioken on the otherhand is incompatible with their structure). It takes everyone on Earth to combine and they barely beat them and once again proves that the Earth can fight and handle conflict themselves and then the Zamasu arc starts.

Honestly a lot of it is the same however Zamasu will have normal SSJ. Really much of it mostly the same as the original in the anime adaption however Trunks will be much stronger with training from the Z sword in an "unlocking his potential" sort of way but not like Gohan's and learn to go SSJ2 like Gohan and discovers something Gohan never discovered was that the multiplier for SSJ2 can be increasingly raised which is what TRULY sets it different from just being a powered up SSJ and that Gohan only used it's initial power (also since Goku never names it, it stays as "Ultimate Super Saiyan" or whatever, just not Super Saiyan 2"). This is what makes Trunks stronger than every mortal in the main timeline except Goku and Vegeta. The reason he looses to black Goku is able to perfectly use SSJ and God ki with Goku's body and is just so much stronger than Goku, Vegeta, and Trunks and beats them the first time like the anime however when they go and train for a while both Goku and Vegeta learn from Black that truly maximizing on God ki is a must. They return to fight Black/Zamasu one last time and Goku and especially Vegeta practices using 100% God ki with minimal leakage. This strains their body pretty heavily. Overall it's pretty similar to CSSB. Vegeta is both stronger than Goku and shows that not only can he use 100% God ki, he can also raise it and lower it to 100% in an instant to strike efficiently and throw Zamasu off-gaurd similar to the SSG/B switching combo. He overall defeats Black with it however once Zamasu and Black fuse, their a bit out of the league. Everything goes the same but when Goku is the last resort on the beam clash, he reveals what he has learned himself that Vegeta didn't and has been experimenting Kaioken with 100% God ki. A base kaioken just barely overpowers Zamasu's attack at the cost of Goku's arms and straining himself and preceeds to kick Zamasu in the face multiple times and gets grabbed and forces Goku to turn it up a notch and use a kaioken x3 and completely sending him flying at the cost of Goku's body and is knocked out cold and falls down to Vegeta and Trunks. Unlike the original there is no sensu beans or potara rings. Like the og trunks saves the day in the same way (Goku regains consciousness while Trunks and zamasu are duking it out) except zamasu doesn't diffuse but rather is essence leaves his physical body and becames infinite zamasu. Trunks uses every energy he has to concur a highly strong mafuba and with everyone's help manages to store infinite zamasu away but at the cost of his own life. The remaining mortals on Earth then have a ceremony for Trunks and the Z-fighters then return to their timeline and tells the news to everyone. Zamasu is then given to our timeline Beerus and Whis and that wraps the end of the arc (if there's a way for FTrunks timeline to be saved then that happens ig)

TOP is pretty much the same except Tien has his recruitment episode and isn't fodder to Roshi or any of that BS and Golden Frieza is comparable to Gohan and Gotenks rather than Goku and Vegeta. Goku and Vegeta have gotten MUCH stronger (and equal in strength), have nailed 100% percent God ki with hardly any stress, and Goku can use kaioken x 10 and to an extent x 20 with it. Outside of Hit staying in, it's the same thing as pretty much the orginal regarding the fight between Goku and Jiren and then THERE it is! Ultra Instinct (omen)! The first real transformation for Goku since the original SSJ! Like the original it runs out and everyone is dumbfounded! Cabba unlocks SSJ instead of SSJ2, Cabba shares bonding moments with all U6 saiyans instead of just Vegeta and Kefla unlocks BSSJ the same way. Unlike the original Kefla is defeated by Gotenks (who have aged appropriately), Frost is defeated by Piccolo, Gohan fights off Dypso and beats him, and other stuff really. In regards to Vegeta, instead of SSJBE he unlocks SSJ with God Ki and defeats GOD Toppo with ease and have become a serious issue for Jiren who is the first person he actually has to rreally try against! He defeats Vegeta eventually, the same old happens, and Goku backed into a corner while using kaioken x20 in a way he was right before unlocking CUI, uses normal uio to get out of the situation and preceeds to defeat Jiren but starts to wear his body too from prior use of kaioken and overexhaustion and ultra instinct omen's degradation starts kicking in. Goku, android 17, and frieza all sacrifice themselved to defeat Jiren and Hit is shown to emerge as the last one standing. To everyone's wonder to what Hit wishes for, he did what he felt was most honorable and wishes every universe that was erased by Zeno back in action. DBS then continues on with KK Goku and SSJ Vegeta ending in their saiyan saga stances.

In regards to the manga, same thing pretty much. TBH I don't remember much after the TOP manga and need to reread. In regards to fighting Moro, let the z fighters and everyone else handle their own battle, invite u6 fighters to the team, and somehow let vegeta go second in the final battle and use all his energy and effort to create an opening for Goku to get the final hit in (and it's his fight against Moro where temporarily experiences CUI for the first time) and finish Moro (unpopular opinion but as a Vegeta [and Goku/Tien] fanboy, I honestly think Vegeta ACTUALLY being the one to finish the job is something that kind of sounds nice in theory but rarely is all that well in execution, I truly think he's at his best being the MVP that actually allows our heros to have the opening in the first place).

In regards to Granola, pretty much the same, just have much more build up to Ultra Ego though (and let it be a form ANY mortal can get). Admittedly I've only read bits and pieces of this arc but it seems good so far!

Anyways what do you think and what are you guys ideas? Bonus: On a scale of 1-10 how BAD was the Tien wanking? Lol

    Toriyama's Weird Fetish

    Posted: 09 Sep 2021 03:43 PM PDT

Okay seriously. What is up with people losing arms in this series. I can think of a few in the series off the top of my head.

Piccolo rips his arm off. Raditz blows off Piccolo's arm. Nappa elbows Tien's arm off. Frieza rips Nail's arm off. Frieza has his arm torn off from his Death Slicer. Vegeta get a broken arm from 18.

There is probably more but wtf ? Does Toriyama hate arms or something ?
