    I was born in 91' and grew up watching Z on Toonami. I love Z.

    I feel like Super is just much higher of quality. I just went through Z Kai and loved it. Then I went through Kakarot. Got every achievement.

    Super just seems to flow better. The voice acting is much better imo. There are a few animation issues early on, but the pacing is great. 21 episodes in and the Frieza force is about to get smacked.

    I don't know.. especially by the ToP, Super does everything I want from Dragon Ball.

    I can respect people who prefer the older stuff - I'm just glad I continue to enjoy it.

    No it wouldn't have been boring to see Goku dominate Jiren

    I timed it. After tens of episodes of Jiren being King Shitbrick and nobody being able to touch him, we get six minutes of Goku dominating him. Six minutes broken up between two episodes.

    I feel like we were owed at least a full episode of Goku just beating the shit out of Jiren because fuck Jiren. In fact the sequence could have been Goku utterly dominates and overwhelms Jiren till Ultra Instinct craps out. The episodes run for the same amount of time but its way more satisfying after all those episodes of Jiren being on top.

    But no, can't have Jiren looking like a chump. People might notice how bland and generic and how utterly lacking in personality and how flavorless and how underdesigned Jiren is if you take away his one character trait: Brick.

    Hey, thinking about making a parody on both the Japanese and Western Dragonball fan bases, I feel I have a decent grasp on the Western fan base but I have no idea what the Japanese fandom in general is like. Anyone know or know where I can find that out?

    Ultra Instinct is glowy? Because Dragon Ball.

    Ultra Instinct is just supposed to be the ability of the body to move without thought, the mind is empty or something, the body is moving on its own.

    So why does that come with its own glowy energy effect ala super saiyan? Its a technique right? Not a power. Or at least that's what it should be.

    I guess its a power, because Dragon Ball. So, because Dragon Ball, its got to involve a power aura and a new hair color and a massive upgrade to overall fighting power not just speed. Its as if once you figure out how to do this thing with your body it also happens to unlock these other side benefits like increased powers.

    Also, at first Ultra Instinct felt special. Goku was moving in strange ways, it was different. But later in the fight with Jiren it was back to normal fighting and Ultra Instinct was indistinguishable from another Super Saiyan power up. Just more sparkly. Especially true once Jiren awakened his hidden power. Then it just looked like Super Saiyan Sparkles fighting Super Saiyan Red.

    The Ultra Divine Water as the source of Goku's 'specialness'

    People are always discussing and trying to find out what makes Goku so special (besides being the main character and Toriyamas favorite).

    Vegeta trains just as hard. Harder, probably. So why is he always 1 step behind? Why does Goku always seem to have this 'edge' on literally everyone he meets? He can always dig a little bit deeper.

    Well, when he was a child he drank a mystical liquid known as the Ultra Divine Water which did...something... to him. He's the only character to do so. Who knows what it did to him. Perhaps it is the reason for his little extra something he has.

    Why is it never considered a factor? It's canon.

    Curious to hear others thoughts.

    Does any DBZ character meets Mercenary Tao in being "broken"?

    After killing someone with the tongue, stopping a bullet using a shoe and throwing a pillar moving 10000 km/h and JUMPING ON IT, is there someone that meets his feats?

    This is not a "who would win", by the way. But in the entire series I don't think there's another character that simply breaks Physics like him without the Ki explanation...
