What are the limits of the power gain from the fruit from the Tree of Might? Posted: 22 Jul 2020 05:08 PM PDT Was just watching this movie again the other day and had this thought. Just by eating a couple of fruit Turles was able to gain a huge amount of strength and it appears as though his body expanded to compensate for the increase. I'm aware movies are non canon and basically just "bad guy of the week" stories but I imagine at least some thought went into it from a story perspective. The Tree of Might was essentially a living Genki Dama that absorbed all energy from the planet and its life and placed it into the fruit, so much so that Goku had to borrow energy from it rather than the Earth to form a Genki Dama to beat Turles in the end. Could Turles have grown as strong as a Super Saiyan if he beat Goku and kept eating it? As strong as a SSJ2? Artificial power gains often have a limit placed on them by how much your body could handle. I wonder if he would just keep getting stronger or if it might be too much for his body at some point. Thoughts? [link] [comments]

Posted: 22 Jul 2020 07:26 PM PDT Is anyone else kinda retroactively disappointed at how Master Roshi was incredibly strong during DB, but then during DBZ he never got to throw a single punch (as far as I can remember), and then in DBS all the sudden he's one of the 10 strongest fighters in not even the world but the entire universe? Watching Z made me feel like Roshi was washed up at that point but then Super comes along and tells us he is on par with fighters like Androids 17 and 18 who wrecked shit during Z? Why couldn't Roshi help out when the Androids attacked in Z? I'm also super disappointed that Roshi was never a character you could fight as in the Budokai games considering how strong he was during DB and also the fact that they had DB era kid Goku as a playable character. They missed a great opportunity. I would've loved to see Roshi in the Budokai games, with his alternate outfit as Jackie Chun. [link] [comments]
Posted: 22 Jul 2020 06:11 PM PDT What do you think will happen to Earth when Goku and Vegeta die or become too old to be useful to Beerus and Earth runs out of novel delicacies for him to sample? Does Earth get destroyed then? [link] [comments]

Even Goku and Vegeta are useless now Posted: 22 Jul 2020 09:14 AM PDT At this point Moro is so powerful he can one shot Goku and Vegeta with literally no effort. He just exhales and Gohan is left lying on the ground with broken noes and teeth. Basically the villains are so powerful that no matter how much Goku and Vegeta train and power up they cannot defeat them. The Moro arc will end with divine intervention either Beerus or Meerus will step in to save the day. Giving Ultra Instinct to Goku was problematic because it ensured every villain would have to be God of Destruction level or one par with a heavily suppressed angel to be threat. Moro is at the level of a God of Destruction . [link] [comments]
Posted: 22 Jul 2020 10:04 PM PDT I always wished that Dragon Ball put a bit more focus on their individual fighting styles. After a while, everyone's fighting started to somewhat blend together. It's always fun to see little things like when Chi-Chi was training Goten that one time her stances appeared to be modeled after Snake Kung Fu. Even though shows like Avatar the Last Airbender and Gekiranger, use fictional styles and often have "magic" involved, you can still see elements of real life martial arts in their choreography. What if Dragon Ball was like that? Here are the fighting styles that I would base each character's styles after. Goku - Tai Sheng Men (learned from Gohan), Xing Yi Quan (learned from Master Roshi), Kushti (learned from Kami & Mr. Popo), Shrorinji Kempo (learned from King Kai), Hou Quan (self-taught) Yamcha - Fu Jow Pai (self-taught), Xing Yi Quan (learned from Master Roshi), Northern Praying Mantis (self-taught), Kushti (learned from Kami & Mr. Popo), Master Roshi - Xing Yi Quan (learned from Mutaito), Drunken Fist (self-taught) Ox King - Southern Praying Mantis Kung Fu (adapted from Master Roshi) Chi-Chi - Southern Praying Mantis Kung Fu (learned from Master Roshi) Krillin - Shaolin Kung Fu (learned from Orin Temple), Xing Yi Quan (learned from Master Roshi), Kushti (learned from Kami & Mr. Popo), Chang Quan (self-taught) Tien and Chiatzo - Southern Crane Kung Fu (learned from Master Shen) Piccolo - Kalaripayattu (innately), Kushti (when refused with Kami) Gohan - Kalaripayattu (learned from Piccolo) Vegeta - Enshin Karate Future Trunks - Kalaripayattu (learned from Future Gohan), Shorin-ryu Karate (self-taught) Cell - MMA Videl - Lucha Libre (learned from Mr. Satan) Majin Buu - Puroresu [link] [comments]
Note on what Piccolo claims in Dragon Ball Super chapter 62 Posted: 22 Jul 2020 08:46 PM PDT What he says is just wrong. Remember that Moro is a product of fusion (Moro himself, 73, lots of stolen spirit), and that he's already shown us how he deals with Vegeta's spirit fission - just dodge the hits. Vegeta and Goku can still fuse. They would then have considerably more power and the ability to perform spirit fission. If they're stronger than Moro when fused, then Moro is the one who will end up getting torn apart, while Vegeta and Goku would simply dodge all of Moro's attacks. The are several issues with fusion. One is that Vegeta and Goku have to agree to it, and yet Vegeta learned spirit fission is precisely because he abhors fusion (to be fair, this is a silly objection because when you consider how frequently they have fused because of the desperate situations they were put in, it's really difficult to believe them when they claim to dislike the technique). Another reason is what Moro has shown this chapter: he's not playing around and he has promptly taken them all down, so they would not have the leisure to perform the fusion dance. And there is no one with Potaras handy. Really, Moro copied Vegeta's abilities just for kicks and he would be far more dangerous if he copied Ultra Instinct from Goki. Honestly, it's far more worrisome that since he's copied Vegeta's abilities, he potentially has access to instant teleportation, and could just teleport to Yardrat in a pinch as he "remembers" this from having copied it from Vegeta. Wouldn't it be hilarious if he teleported on Yardrat and they used their spirit techniques to completely wreck Moro though? [link] [comments]
Posted: 22 Jul 2020 02:54 PM PDT So sometime ago, I purchased the original Dragon Ball manga box set I read something to the effect of some sort of censorship but not that I saw any in my box set., that being said I am looking to pick up the dragon ball Z manga box set And I read the reviews and a lot of it is censored apparently can anybody explain this better and tell me which version to buy? Because I want to get the full affect and why do you think they (I assume VIZ media) censored it? [link] [comments]
Would identical twins make a super powerful fusion? Posted: 22 Jul 2020 12:40 PM PDT I was watching Goku explain the fusion to Goten and Trunks during the Buu saga and he talks about how the more similar two people are (height, weight, power level, etc) the more powerful the fusion is. So if this is the case than a pair of identical twins using potara earrings would have to be one of the strongest fusions you could get, right? It would almost be like Piccolo and Kami becoming one person again in a sense. Right? [link] [comments]
Does future trunks not care about regular timeline gohan? Posted: 22 Jul 2020 09:06 AM PDT It seems like in the normal storyline hes more obsessed with vegeta and i dont think you even really see him interact deeply with gohan [link] [comments]
Posted: 22 Jul 2020 04:37 PM PDT So I've been going back and watching all of the dragon ball z movies because I've never seen most of them and I watched Wrath of the Dragon movie with the famous dragon fist move and I thought goku had the quote "if I don't, who will" but I watched the movie and he never once that it. Is it actually in GT, a dub change or was that never a real quote in the anime? [link] [comments] |
